Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim

Ayli is a female Kor Cleric from Zendikar and high priest of the Eternal Pilgrims. Formerly, she was a follower of Kamsa a deity to the Kor and is their goddess of the wind, the breath of the world. Being female in naturemost horrible source: long lost memories of the Eldrazi Emrakul.

During the Battle for Zendikar storyline she saved Jace and Jori En, during their expedition to the Eye of Ugin, from a chasing swarm of Eldrazi spawn. Ayli brought the two travellers to the sanctuary of the Eternal Pilgrims. The Eternal Pilgrims tried to chain up Jace and Jori En in order to sacrifice both to the approaching Ulamog. Jace and Jori En could flee after Jace casted illusionary flames on the Eternal Pilgrims

Ayli - 'I see the desire and repulsion dancing entertwined across your face. Child I have done this longer than I want and much too long for it to ever be wanted. I can also see you questioning, though not aloud, why? Why hasn't she been given to the gods? Why hasn't one so full of faith not been chosen to empower our dieties?
