Background

I was never a huge red player, in fact my first deck was an Orzhov deck run by Athreos. So when I saw the spoilers for Hour of Devastation and Neheb, the Eternal himself I didn't think much of him. That is until I saw him in action on the Commander Versus series on YouTube. The insane amount of mana you can create and what you can do with it blew me away so I had to make a deck.

By no means is this supposed to be a competitive deck. Though you may be asking questions like, "why is he running Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre?" Well in my playgroup there are a couple of mill decks and having a guy that essentially says I'm millproof (except by things like Leyline of the Void) is really nice to have.

General Strategy

What you want to do with this deck is get Neheb, the Eternal out as quick as you can. From there, it is just a matter of doing enough damage to your opponents to where you can cast your huge spells.

I've included a couple cards that will help with keeping your creatures on the board as well as keeping yourself in the game. Soul of New Phyrexia is great for when you want to cast Chandra's Ignition or Fault Line and keep your minions in play (specifically Neheb, the Eternal. While Platinum Angel avoids Fault Line all together and keeps you alive to fight another day.
