Wow, I got some really interesting suggestions.
Dorotheus- I thought the idea with Bruna, Light of Alabaster in particular was really interesting, but wouldn't really work with Evershrike very well as it would require its own deck list. The reason for this is, for Bruna to work with Evershrike I'd need to first reanimate Bruna from my graveyard while Evershrike is already there, then when Bruna dies Rancor and Spirit Loop bounce back to my hand and I can reuse them on Evershrike. The problem is, if I'm doing that I may as well switch out Evershrike for Eldrazi Conscription and just win with Bruna. I actually in response to your idea did try out a fairly competitive deck list that would dredge about half my deck, and then on turn 4 use Unburial Rites to reanimate Bruna attached to multiple Eldrazi Conscriptions and a haste aura. Evershrike doesn't work well in that deck though.
Barbarian_Sun_Pope: I do like your aura suggestions. Spirit Loop has been in several versions of my deck, but in this was too far outside my color wheel; I changed that for this update. However, I elected to not go with the Totem Armor mechanic because if Evershrike gets destroyed I usually just bounce Rancor back to my hand and resummon Evershrike from the graveyard next turn. What I'm worried about is Path to Exile and similar spells that remove Evershrike permanently, making Aspect of the Mongoose my best aura for this situation. The idea of using walls for cards and mana I had not thought of; I'll try a version of it, but it would require such a different deck list it'll take some work.
Anyway, this deck list essentially focuses really hard on getting Evershrike out and can usually do it by turn 4, turn 3 if I'm lucky; I took out the Unearth creatures and some other stuff, and changed my mana base to include Vivid lands to broaden the range of auras I can use. The problem is, a turn 4 Evershrike while big is usually not enough to win a game I've done nothing else in. I've mastered consistency, now I need potency. Suggestions are still appreciated!
