Ramunap Excavator is certainly something I'd like to add, but you're so right... I have have no idea what I'll cut.

Ender666666 maybe drop Greenwarden or Darkblast for Ramunap Excavator? Those appear to be the weaker of the slots. Don't forget Torment of Hailfire will be a second Exsanguinate too.

Thoughts on the dredge creatures! in my testing of my list i found them to be slow and otherwise not worth the slot since my main gameplan was go for the combo. is there a perticular reason youre running them? other than just synergy? i also play the frog but my list is a bit different. you seem to be a reasonable person so if you get a chance you should check it out! i went more of the artifact ramp base instead of the mana dorks, ive found it to be insanely consistant. its slightly different and the combo is designed to be more defensive. i personally like the combo of basalt monolith and mesmeric orb for an alternative i win the game plan. my list hasnt been updated to include the monolith. Also what are your thoughts on Ramunap Excavator? worth the slot to doble down on crucible? also constructive feedback would be excellent on my list if you do check it out.

I made a Gitrog EDH deck with the same theme in mind, using Dakmor Salvage to go infinite. Give mine a look -- I feel like it focused much more on the combo than this deck does, as it can combo off as early as turn 4 through cards like Dread Return and Golgari Grave-Troll. Otherwise, upvoted!

@n0bunga: I wasn't thinking of Hermit Druid as a way to draw cards, but as a way to put Dakmor Salvage in your graveyard. In your example, digging 16 cards is huge.
At least, putting other dredger or retrace cards in your graveyard is neat.

n0bunga: I've been playing Gitrog for a few months now and had no idea Hermit Druid only counted as one trigger. Does the same apply to Dredge? For example, if I Dredge a Golgari Grave-Troll and 4 lands end up in the graveyard, does it count as just 1 draw trigger? Just want to make sure I haven't been playing Gitrog wrong this whole time.

Gitrog's second ability says: "Whenever one or more land cards are put into your graveyard from anywhere, draw a card."
That "or more" makes all the difference.
Here are some additional rules for Gitrog from the Gatherer:
If multiple land cards are put into your graveyard at once, The Gitrog Monsters last ability triggers only once. This could happen because an effect (such as that of Crawling Sensations first ability) put them there from your library at once, or because they were destroyed at the same time (such as two land creatures that were dealt lethal combat damage).

I'm working on a list for our glorious master, and Faith of the Devoted is like a more amusing Exsanguinate for me. What's even better is it takes the same enablers as Exsang to pop off, so its not like your missing anything really, just another way to turn it on, and it can sneak up on people and get past pesky blue decks without the use of our masters great tree. The Faith of those Devoted to the great Hypnotoad shall tear down all.

Thanks man. I'll take a look at your list, but is there anything that you think it's lacking that you're specifically looking to get help on?

Well, compared to your list it lacks bling :) and high quality manabase. I would just like your opinion since you've build this beauty :DI am thinking about adding Faith of the Devoted instead of Skullwinder, that is atm my only thing out of place.

Hey friend,
Is it legal/possible to use Collective Brutality in place of Exsanguinate when utilizing the Dakmor Salvage/Skirge Familiar combo with The Great Toad? I noticed that card and thought it could potentially double up for Exsanguinate but I am unsure about how the interaction/stack/timings would work. Thought? Advice?

Hello, it's certainly legal to use, but has the same problem as using Geth's Verdict. Counting on it as your game closer means you have to cycle through you deck so many times that it becomes annoying. Exsanguinate is still the preferred kill spell

Collective Brutality: You cant choose any one mode multiple times.

How do you win with Collective Brutality or Geth's Verdict? Just by constantly casting them then cycling them back into the deck by drawing your library and discarding an Eldrazi titan?

I use Torment of Hailfire instead ox Exsanguinate, but it is pretty much the same.

Ender666666 says... #23
Not the same really. Torment allows them to avoid damage, which could be relevant if we're not going infinite, plus it doesn't gain us life which could also matter in certain games. Still a great card though...

True, though the higher their life is, more potent Torment is. Both cards are great in any case :)

I find Torment of Hailfire easier win with when not infinite. even taking into account the damage they negate, i tend to get more damage. Torment doesnt even need to kill them, if i make you discard you hand and sacrifice your rocks, you're very unlikely to come back. the downside is only noticable if they're a heavy token deck that somehow never got their board wiped.

Hey buddy! The Great Toad demands Ramunap Excavator! Get Ready to appease. What would you cut?
