Fzbear No, I hadn't considered it.. Not sure if it's right for this deck. What would you cut to make room for it?
November 21, 2017 6:01 p.m.
I dont know what I would cut, but I just got the card. So I will be play testing it. I would probably say Birds of Paradise, just because we will be ramping faster with Oath of Druids

That's something to consider. Let me know how it does for you and I'll consider adding it. I don't get a lot of chance to play this deck lately

Oath of Druids is banned in mtgo 1 v 1 format. Its also kinda slow. It would be better as a sideboard card if you are going against a token deck or something.

Oath of Druids is also a great card to fill the graveyard

Can I recommend replacing Exsanguinate with Torment of Hailfire? It's functionally the same in an infinite mana combo, but can't be flipped on you like the former can if someone has a Tainted Remedy or a Rain of Gore on the field.

Although Tainted Remedy and Rain of Gore are very rare in my meta, I do agree that Hail does belong in here, maybe along with Exsanguinate.... or without.

Fellow Tadpoles, Should I cut Black Sun's Zenith to make room for Torment of Hailfire?
January 8, 2018 12:52 p.m.
If it were me, and I know its not, I would potentially cut Seasons Past or Burgeoning. As much as I like the idea of both of those cards, Seasons Past is a bit on the costly side, especially with and Burgeoning is an awesome way to get the whole table to focus fire you to dust before it reaps benefits. That being said, I am speaking from the perspective of my meta and not yours.
To answer your question: I probably would cut Black Sun's Zenith- at least to playtest.
Also, I finally had the chance to look through the new spoiled set and I was curious about your thoughts on World Shaper. Looks like an amazing card. I think I am going to playtest it for sure. Have you considered it?

Yup, if you take a peek, you'll see I already added World Shaper, having cut Greenwarden of Murasa to make room.

Call it a pet card, but I just love Seasons Past, Leifis, so I'm loathe to cut it.

Thoughts on Wayward Swordtooth ? Lets you play additional lands per turn.

I'm not sure how much value that card really brings to the table. Although I'm sure it could have some decent moments, I would run Courser of Kruphix long before I would run the Dino as Wayward Swordtooth brings less utility to the great Toad.

Leptys I know I asked you to weigh-in on this once before, but after watching your deck tech, I wanted to ask you if you have any suggestions on what to add AND what to cut?
Would anyone like to see anything more in this Primer? I try to keep it up to date, but I'm always open to suggestions

What about hate against the Toad himself? Was thinking of running Swiftfoot BootsI don't want to combo out with the deck an win...so having the Toad in the right turn at the right time isn't an option

I have thought about Titania, Protector of Argoth in the past, but the problem that I have with her is just that she doesn't really contribute to the overall plan of Comboing out. By the time we have her on the field, we're often well on our way to Comboing anyways. She's by no means a bad choice, just one I have opted not to play... If you have a good argument for why she should be added, or what you'd cut to make room, please share.

So I recently came across Olivia's Dragoon and realized that I somehow missed this excellent creature that let's you discard to pump it. It's in the vein of Wild Mongrel and Noose Constrictor. What I want opinions on, is which 2 of these 3 pitch-creatures should I run? I'm leaning towards ditching Wild Mongrel due to the fact that Noose Constrictor has Reach and Olivia's Dragoon gains Flying when pumped... The seem more relevant than the Mongrel's ability to change colour.
Any thoughts, loyal subject of the Hypnotoad?

I'll never tire of talking about my awesome alter! It was custom painted by Will LeRoque Moreno of RockyAlters. You can find him on Facebook here
He also painted my Chandra in the deck Doesn't Play Well With Others (Creatureless Red)
