Haven't been able to use it yet... I wonder if Rise of the Dark Realms might be better, and more surprising though

It depends on how fat the yards have been honestly. Rise of the Dark Realms is better in practice if you want my opinion, its faster and I think you have enough ways to ramp into it. If the yards aren't fat then go for Living Death because its also a sweeper and is the strongest removal spell in the whole game for a reanimation deck when combined with Leyline of the Void.

There is a whole section on resource denial strategies in my stax primer and its in your colors. It might be worth a read.

Hey, I have a lot of criticisms for this deck! For one, that maybeboard has gotten out of hand. As for the deck itself, I think it's bad that you...that you,uh...No, this deck is perfect; In fact, it's the best deck in Magic... I'm just gonna upvote and tell other people that they should come upvote as well...All Hail Hypnotoad

Cyberninja16 Thank you for your kind words. His Sublime Toadiness approves.

Yeah, the maybe board is large. I'm testing out some ideas and am waiting to see the results before writing changes down.

Updated list. ALL GLORY TO HYPNOTOAD. ALL GLORY TO THE GET #REKT MONSTER!

April 15, 2016 12:28 p.m.

I love Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest but I feel like with as many triggers as this deck has, keeping track of him and everything else could get very taxing on yourself as well as other players in your playgroup, and if they're anything like my own playgroup, they'll hate you out the rest of the day if you take a million years to kill everyone.

I also made hypnotoad somewhat similar to yours. Here's a list if you're interested: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/obligatory-new-set-deck/

I suppose that it's possible Mr. Maz could get annoying, but I have yet to find out.

I'll check your list out in the morning. Thanks for the comment, and vote :)

Exsanguinate or Death Cloud could be good here.

Agreed. Both are great. I want to get them in, but am testing this build first.

maybe Survival of the Fittest? It is very good with Necrotic Ooze and dredge.

I am testing a more stacks version of this with Pox, Smallpox, Death Cloud and of course Smokestack.

Funny, I was thinking that a Stax build could be viable. How's it going so far?

Definetely consider using Ghost Quarter, it's really good if you wanna get an engine going. Zapping two lands for two cards and another untapped basic is fun as heck lol.

granted you only run a few of each basic, but it's very good regardless.

They're not budget, but Scapeshift and Terravore would be pretty fun for you

Also Creeping Renaissance can pick up lots of lands. I suppose Praetor's Counsel could also do that too, although being able to do it from the yard is neat.

Ender666666 says... #24

Thanks for the thoughts metalevolence.

I had Scapeshift and Terravore in a previous version of the deck. I may add them again, but Scapeshift isn't nearly as good as you'd think, as it only draws you one extra card through Gitrog. I had cut Terravore for Lord of Extinction, but I might toss that beastie back in at some point. Same thing for Creeping Renaissance, a personal favourite of mine... Currently cut but may return.

For anyone who hasn't, please upvote this deck. It's currently #2 on the site, and I would love to take that #1 spot for the first time EVER with one of my brews :)

Nissa, Worldwaker? Mana ramp and ult (if you get to it) is fucking hilarious.
