This deck is currently retired.

Deck has been retired since 2014 because I found it to be inconsistent and slow, and Reaper King is an easy target to both creature and artifact destruction. Maybe someday I'll figure how to play this deck and build a more decent list. Until them, thanks for all the upvotes, you guys are awesome and help keeping this idea alive!

For awhile, please refer to the deck's spiritual successor (in the way that it is my current five-colored tribal deck, although less creative, more effective: Hivelord's Roquefort)

This is my Changeling deck (originally Cheshire Changeling) converted into Commander format.

The essential idea of the deck is simple: Get changelings and get lords of various tribes to pump them. Give then indestructibility, hexproof, haste, first strike, etc, and +1/+1 for every Lord that contributes with the board!

Vindicating permanents with Reaper King's ability is almost enought to get dangerous stuff away from the board.

Update June 4th 2024: Just sorted the cards into custom categories.

Respect the Changelings
Win an 1x1 Completed!
Against a friend of mine's Teysa, Orzhov Scion deck.
He was always killing my stuff with Royal Assassin. Hopeffully I got a Knight Exemplar in a turn. Killed. Timber Protector in another; killed. Sun Quan, Lord of Wu came in the next turn enabling an unblockable overrun for the win.

IT'S FREE
Getting two creatures per turn with Descendants' Path and Call to the Kindred at the same time.
Completed!
Althought it was a big multiplayer with 6 dudes, I managed to do this trick. I was the first to be killed, althought (maybe the guys thought I was getting too dangerous.)

It's Harvest Time
Clean the board with the combo: Reaper King + Changeling Berserker + Changeling Hero + Changeling Titan + Another any one nontoken creature.
Never completed.

All Hail the Changeling King
Kill a player with General Damage by having Reaper King to hold a Runed Stalactite and an Alpha Status.
Never completed.

Going Infinite
Get the classic Myr-Infinite-Mana-Combo with Myr Galvanizer.
To mimic the combo in this deck, I'd need to copy the Galvanizer with Phyrexian Metamorph or Shapesharer; get a Gemhide Sliver (or Manaweft Sliver; and two changelings. Boom. Infinite mana. Now, what to do with this mana in another thing. Maybe using Chameleon Colossus or Mirror Entity for the win.
Never completed.

Updates Add

So, I decided to set the deck following what I called "percents", as the deck must have 100 cards. I made some changes trying to find the right balance, and I think this one should work. Now the deck is:

1%: the commander.

34%: Lands (wich: 20% basic lands, 7% tribal lands, 5% Vivid lands and 2% lands that can produce all five colors).

20% Changelings (actually 19 changelings + 1 Mistform Ultimus)

10% Tribal Creatures. That is, creatures that boosts all the changelings (like Godo, Bandit Warlord) or that take boosts themselves (like Tribal Golem). Also, swaped the Wing Splicer for a Pulmonic Sliver.

5% Mana accelerator creatures (including Gemhide Sliver that makes all changelings mana accelerators too!)

10% Artifacts (most of them tribal artifacts like Cloak and Dagger and Myr Turbine)

5% Tutors (to get things I need. 1 Diabolic Tutor plus 4 Harbinger, including Elvish Harbinger that can also boost mana later!)

10% Enchantments (normal enchantments and auras)

5% instants.

Still have to acquire some of the new cards, but this is how the deck should finally look.
