Ever thought of dropping the equipment (I think your fatties are more than enough in terms of win conditions) and mana rocks (which you can replace with traditional green ramp) so that you can run Stony Silence and Null Rod ?

The equipment I can cast while Gaddock Teeg is on the field and under Stony Silence and/or Null Rod as they have triggered abilities, and the deck doesn't have a large amount of fatties.

I say get a Whispersilk Cloak for Gaddock just for the shroud and just swing for 2 commander damage a turn

I hate to be the one to tell you, but increasing/decreasing what it costs to cast a spell does NOT change said spell's converted mana cost, which is all Gaddock Teeg actually looks at.

Sorry. Interesting deck idea, though. +1

Wow! Great deck dude! Too bad it costs so much or I'd use it.

merrowMania: Yeah, I know Gaddock doesn't work like that. The deck is designed so the stuff that Gaddock lets you play costs an assload of mana.

This is pretty sweet. It looks super fun to play! Unfortunately...it would be quite some time before I'd get the funds for the hefty price tag. :/

brokendwarf says... #8

Yeah, I know. Of course a major chunk of that price is the Mishra's Workshop , which isn't necessarily needed in the deck.

Oh wow. That card costs some money.

Mycosynth Lattice because suddenly, your opponent's can't cast counterspells during your turn because of Grand Abolisher . They also can't tap land. Or move their board. Yeah... Combine with Null Rod for a combo that's just... No. No... That should not exist...

It's not true...

THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE

Oh but it is possible, my friend. But it is possible.

hello, im new to this comander thing. in comander, can you have no more than one of a non-basic land card? or is that how people like it?

brokendwarf says... #15

superwill123: It's a singleton format, so yeah, no more than one of a non-basic land. Here's some basic rules

July 29, 2014 7:54 p.m.

brokendwarf says... #18

I don't think your cost reducers work the way you want because even though you get to pay less they're still considered to be original cmc

jwe94 says... #22

The same applying for cards that add to the cost

September 3, 2014 1:34 p.m.

jwe94: I think you're the second person to bring this up. I'm aware of how Gaddock Teeg works. I know increasing the cost of a card via other means doesn't increase the original CMC. While Gaddock blocks off the CMC 4+ spells, that still gives your opponents the option of casting lower cost things. The point of the deck is to making those low cost spells cost a lot; I want my opponents to spend a crapton of mana to cast that 1 cost removal spell.

Maybe you should add in that you're aware of how Gaddock Teeg works in your description, I thought the same thing when browsing through your deck list. On another note, have you thought about Ghostly Prison? +1 for sure, love the build!

What about Captain Sisay?

She can be a tutor for your big beaters and/or Gaddock if someone makes you shuffle the little Hobbit back into your deck :)
