The punisher effect! (Suggestions Appreciated)
A long forgotten effect surrounding letting your opponent choose how they die. Most punisher cards revolve around letting your opponent choose an effect or a major loss of life.
Although this deck is RB it hones in on Red's love for trickery and confusion. It plays like a U counter deck but burns like Red.
Card Choices:
Dash Hopes: I've always wanted to play this card in a deck. Because you are dealing damage so quickly it actually has a use here. 5 for 3 is not bad. Your opponent will have to think deeply about what is important. Can they afford to lose the important play? If not do you have a bolt waiting? Is there a Seal on the field? What other damage can you inflict and how close are they to kill range?
Seal of Fire
: I like this card a lot. Although it is only doing 2 as opposed to 3 the one damage is worth it because of the pressure it puts on your opponent. If they play the bob or Exarch will i kill it? or save it to finish them off later? It makes them question the small creatures they play and makes Dash or Browbeat even more intimidating when I play it.
Eidolon of the Great Revel: This card really helps make the deck. This deck wins by making your opponenet think and question how much damage they can afford to take. Eidolon increases that pressure. Every spell has backlash. Once Eidolon is on the field you can just sit back and wait. If they play Abrupt decay, use imp's mischief to use it to destroy their own board state. same with bolt. If there card does not target use dash hopes. can they afford to take 7 or will they let Eidolon stay another turn. As long as Eidolon is on the board you don't have to worry about playing. your opponent deal damage to themselves.
Blackmail: Quite fitting with the theme of this deck Blackmail lets your opponent choose what cards you can take from them. Contrary to previous handhate this card is lousy first turn because of your opponents berth of options. As the game goes on and your opponents options diminish, they have less to hide from you. Also contrary to regular hand-hate this card lets you discard lands, something your opponent may overlook(or may not have the option to deny you), useful in a land-tense situation.
