I am putting this as a note of what I tested before I posted this deck here for my own review. At the same time I hope it will give people some inspiration when forming their own exalted decks. Lastly if there are any suggestions I will really welcome them as I'm doing this without really going out to look for "winner's decks" as I prefer to come out with my own deck rather than be a copy cat.

Notes of testing:

  1. Nefarox - not very effective as it will be typically game set by the time I draw or cast him, doesn't really impact the flow of the game.

  2. Murder/Go for the Throat/Doom blade/tragic slips- Did a few play test(About 10) with them, useful for temporary delay but doesn't solve the inherent problems I found, once I'm on the defensive I hit into all kinds of problems and I can hardly ever defend.

  3. Added Planeswalkers - Ajani was added help a little with the +1/+1 counters which is useful both defensive and offensive. However I've not played till I reach a situation where I used him till I gotten him to 8 and used the tokens abilities. It was typically game set before it reaches that stage (Probably need to test more as I've only used him in less than 10 games)

  4. Added Planeswalkers - Sorin, had an immediate impact when I drew him created my blockers and potential attackers depending on situation. Swings things to my favor using his final ability I used it the moment he hit 6 so he dies off (Note to self I will like to test more with Sorin and Ajani in the deck to see how they play and which is more important to change the number of cards for them)

  5. After testing with the Planeswalkers, I've gained some balance and spread the reliance of Sublime Angels, but however it's still too weak on the defense and there is no direct damage which can help me to turn the game around.

  6. Took ideas from stormkirkjb87's (Thanks!) - Exalted Nighhawk which I feel will be able to help with the shortfall of this deck (Need to look for the cards I'm missing for this testing)

15th Aug

  1. Replaced Nighthawk with Vault Skirge as the 1bb cost weights very heavily in my deck as I've got 2 other cards with ww as casting cost, it made the deck faster with 10 creatures @ 1 mana casting cost

  2. Added Dark Favor, made the deck very agressive with the potential of having 4 Damage in round 2 (Potentially leeching back 4 as well)

  3. Added in Silverblade Paladin, Increased the damage potential and overall threat when in attack Made it possible for Turn 4 kill

  4. Added in Faith's Shield, Divine Deflection and Essence Harvest which makes Turn 4 killing more likely via a variety of methods to achieve that, and protecting my attackers when needed especially with Faith's shields. May want to consider having 4 in there for better chance of draw and more chances of defending against opponents.

  5. Weakness in defense still persist, if the game drags on it will become disadvantageous, did not use too many Builder's Blessing as it it takes too much to cast early game. May consider taking it out and side boarding, for games where opponent is a control deck and battles will be drawn out.

Notes to added testing: -

  1. May consider taking out Builder's blessing and some other cards to put in more faith shield, divine deflection. To boost the protective capabilities to ensure I can continue to attack every round.
