Why? Why not? Exalted is the exact sort of linear mechanic that makes a budget deckbuilder drool: it needs to be the focus of the deck before you achieve optimal efficiency, but once you get there, you're almost impossible to stop. My W/G Bestowtempole deck is built along similar lines and has had pretty good success.

Additionally, Exalted, though linear, is also modular enough to allow the splashing of other mechanics, and there are plenty of other mechanics that benefit from its presence (unblockable, Menace, Flanking, Rampage, Renown, Trample, and even the currently-unkeyworded "anti-Menace" mechanic where a creature can't be blocked by MORE than one creature). And while it's entirely possible to make a very decent mono-White deck filled solely with common Exalted creatures, I decided to go a little abroad.

To me, Exalted is a control format, because you can hold back most of your resources and attack with only one creature at a time. That's why the creature fleet has such a variety of abilities: you have your choice of how to evade your opponent's blockers, or force them into sub-optimal trades. Ultimately I think Gorilla Berserkers will be the real star of the show; there's really no reason he won't be smaller than about 9/10, in addition to being Trample and having Menace 3.
