At the suggestion of our weekly Commander game host, we challenged ourselves to build new decks in an effort to shake up our game nights. His only rule: Tribal.

Someone built Humans, someone else Elves, another Zombies.

Me?

I went all-in with colorless Eldrazi Ramp.

With colorless AND with the restriction of tribal-only spells and creatures (artifacts excluded) there are few options for removal. That is helped considerably by Eldrazi and their abilities. Bane of Bala Ged is a fantastic creature for dealing with my opponent's permanents and can be tutored up with Conduit of Ruin. All Is Dust and Perilous Vault were no-brainers in the deck as were Pathrazer of Ulamog, Artisan of Kozilek and the "Annihilators".Additionally, casting Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger to cherry pick permanents is easily done, despite the mana cost. That's due in large part to Urza's Incubator, Semblance Anvil and the suite of mana producing artifacts. If all else fails there is the possibility of tapping a Quicksilver Amulet with a good Annihilator in my hand.
