I do like that it stacks, though.

Also, if more than one is on the field, you can alternate Exerting them.

BioProfDude my partner has been playing with Selfless Spirit and Archangel Avacyn  Flip for the last couple of seasons and Avacyn  Flip has been better value.

Hi, nice to see a R/W exert deck.No 1cmc creature ? It will be a bit slow isn't it ?I would see some Bloodlust Inciter instead of Tah-Crop Elite for example.Good luck in your deck contruction !

Calispotato yup.

The Vigilance is also good. Not to mention her board wipe.

As I said, we use both in StuBi's Angelic High deck, and Archangel Avacyn  Flip is much more useful.

People have got this thing in their head that five drop Creatures are useless.

Games are usually not over by Turn 5. Even with the more aggressive decks.

It's more like Turn 7 or 8, these days.

Same thing with 1 drops. I have so many decks that work well without them.

The only thing they really do is potentially draw a Fatal Push out of your Opponent's hand.

Calispotato you've made a lot of suggestions and there is only so much space in this deck.

I don't want to use many Creatures without Exert as then they don't trigger Battlefield Scavenger

I like the other cards I have better than Trial of Solidarity. The person who made the Sandstone Bridge suggestion rightly realised that I didn't have to take any value cards out to use it.

I would rather have removal or Always Watching than Insult / Injury

Magmatic Chasm is useless if the Opponent has fliers. I'd rather have a card that I'm sure will be effective.

Make a Stand is a good suggestion. I'll try to find some room for it.

ArcueidToo this deck is a slow burn that seeks to disrupt the Opponent in the early game, dig for answers, and slow them down in the mid to late game.

As such, I'm not sure that it needs a fast early game.

@BioProfDude: how Djeru's Resolve is an answer to Fatal Push ? Primer doesn't prevent creature for being destroyed. On the other hand, Djeru's Resolve is an alternative to exert your creatures more often.

@Argy: I you want to get this deck mid-range, I'm ok with this, but with 2/3 resistance creatures, you will face issues to shock, Sweltering Suns and many other removals. Since your creatures arrive later, you may have to protect them.

I also found Tah-Crop Elite will not be used before turn 5, and has only 2 defense. If you want to be offensive on turn 5, what about Gideon, Martial Paragon ? He will untap exerted creature and buff them !

Blessed Alliance / Prepare // Fight are good for untapping exerted creatures and give answers to opponents actions.

Gryff's Boon is still good for giving evasion and can be recover from graveyard.

For a mid range game, you will have issue with drawing, Green would give you some answers for this or maybe embalm keyword.

ArcueidToo like a lot of people you've now suggested more cards than I could ever add.

Make some choices. What do you want me to take out, and what do you want me to put in?

Otherwise, your post is pretty much word salad - throw out a whole lot of different card names and see what sticks.

Didn't you read where I added Make a Stand? It's only two posts above.

I also noted earlier that I HATE Green.

I have draw in the deck. That's the job of Bygone Bishop.

See if you can refine your suggestions a bit.

I don't love green I just use it in decks the only color I don't like using is blue and I still use it if it makes the deck better. I'm not saying that green would make this deck better though.

whales, you are correct that Djeru's Resolve doesn't answer Fatal Push. I wasn't thinking when I wrote that. My bad.

ahem. you should add in a couple (or 4) of Combat Celebrant. exert with one, get a second combat step, exert another, get another combat step, if need to exert a third one, get another combat step, exert last one, get one more combat step, swing plainly, gg.

ticked-off-squirrel if you look under my list of Cards Already Considered you will see that I have already tried Combat Celebrant, and didn't find it very effective in this build.

June 2, 2017 1:02 a.m.

well why not? it only 3 CMC. I guess the only reason you would turn it down is it's 1 toughness so I can understand that. it would just be funny as hell to do.

Argy says... #21

The amount of times it works, compared with the amount of times it doesn't, is disproportionately negative.

The other Creatures in the 3CMC slot provide more value.
