Creature (1)

Niv- Mizzet succumbed to the Locust God and his deck got revamped.

Much different than Niv Mizzet, the need to play defensively is less intense, as simply drawing cards nets you blockers and Locust God is easy to avoid commander tax with.

This deck aims less to combo out and more to just slam against peoples faces with locust swarms. Infinite locusts is also possible with this deck.

Key Combos

=====

The Locust God + Ashnod's Altar + Skullclamp = Infinite colorless mana, not to mention draw your deck, and as many locusts as there are cards in your deck.

The Locust God + Breath of Fury + Bident of Thassa = infinite attack steps

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Mind Over Matter = infinite damage so long as the final card you discard is Kozilek, Butcher of Truth . Also sets up a Laboratory Maniac win.

Card Breakdowns

=====

Purphoros, God of the Forge is a champ in this deck. Essentially, with your commander he becomes "Draw a card to deal 2 damage to each opponent."

Whir of Invention is here strictly to help fetch out Skullclamp or Ashnod's Altar as they are both powerhouses in this deck. And sometimes Bident of Thassa

Trinket Mage brings either Skullclamp or Sensei's Divining Top to the table.

Mana Echoes is ridiculous in this deck too. All the cards you draw will give you mana. Which can then be used to fuel big "Draw X" spells which in turn give you more Locusts and MORE mana.

Arcanis the Omnipotent is another potential setup for Laboratory Maniac with Mind Over Matter .

Also, something about Intruder Alarm and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
