Synergy + Control - that's the focus here and consistency is key.

The ability to consistently bounce ETB creatures back and forth to the battlefield with additional effects like Grave Pact, Blood Artist or Grim Haruspex can be devastating for your opponents.

Cards like Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, Ashnod's Altar and Bloodthrone Vampire are go-to combo starters when paired with Athreos, God of Passage; cards like Restoration Angel, Reveillark, Rune-Scarred Demon, etc. take on a whole new meaning in the advantage dept.

Combo wins are a must in a deck like this, even if a bit unimaginative: Exquisite Blood + Sanguine bond/Defiant Bloodlord/Cliffhaven Vampire/Vizkopa Guildmage = WINNNING! Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion = WINNING!
