This is a prototype green-gruul deck for when Theros comes out. Because of the devotion mechanic, trying to stick to one colour is a good idea. So, I choose green because of the big creatures! But let's start small, shall we?

Experiment One - Probably one of the best one drop green creatures that is standard. This guy stats as a 1/1, but the more you play creatures that are stronger tan him, the stronger he becomes! He combos well with the whole deck and is perfect for turn one and later.

Dryad Militant - Mostly I have her in here because she's a 2/1 for 1 'green' mana. Her ability is useful against some control decks, but she's just great early game pressure.

Burning-Tree Emissary - Her boyfriend (Lightning Mauler) is rotating out once Theros rolls in, but that doesn't mean that she's not useful!

Scavenging Ooze - Gain life, get stronger. I'd target my opponent's graveyard before my own, but there's not much harm in 'recycling' whats in my graveyard to make it stronger, or to gain me life. Even if Bow of Nylea can place creatures on the bottom of my library.

Kalonian Tusker - 3/3 for 2 mana. Need I say more?

Boon Satyr - Firstly, a 4/2 for 3 mana isn't too shabby. Flash? Amazing! Being able to save it as a combat trick and give a creature +4/+2 for 5 mana at any time!?!?!?! I'll probably hold his guy in my hand with the Ghor-Clan Rampager for sudden saves, or extra damage.

Domri Rade - as you may have noticed by now, most of my deck is creature-based. Domri helps get creatures in my hand and cycle through my deck a little. He works as removal. And, if you're very lucky. Bad things happen to your opponent when his ultimate ability goes off.

Bow of Nylea - This thing is seriously overpowered. And I'm not complaining!! OK, so let's look at it's static ability. Deathtouch to all my attacking creatures? Wonderful! That makes blocking a little more dangerous for my opponent. Then there's the activated ability that gives you the choice of FOUR things to do for TWO mana. 1: +1/+1 counter - Dragon Blood on steroids. 2: 2 damage to a creature with flying - more removal!!! 3: 3 health - I don't think I need to say anything here about how cool this is. 4: up to 4 creatures on the bottom of your library from your graveyard - which is really good vs. mill. Yeah. I'd say it's a little broken.

Polukranos, World Eater - I was debating between him and Xenagos, the Reveler . in the end, being able to ping off a bunch of creatures and having a big scary monstrous creature is just too cool.

Ghor-Clan Rampager - another wonderful combat trick. Keep in the kand and bloodrush to save a creature.

Nylea, God of the Hunt - EVERYTHING ELSE GETS TRAMPLE! AND SHE'S A 6/6 FOR 4 MANA!!!! AND YOU CAN GIVE A CREATURE +2/+2 FOR 4 MANA!!! I AM SO SOLD!

scored 4th at fnm. I did quite well vs. control decks. My only loss was to a w/u master of waves deck.

Round 1: mono-white heroic (2-1)

Game 1 I was just able to play big scary things quicker than my opponent could deal with them. Sideboarded in Fade into antiquity. Game 2 was a loss when he pulled lifelink that I didn't see the game before. Sideboarded in skullcrack, which helped win second game. That and having about 10 creatures, nykthos, nylea, and polukranos. There was a bit of a lull, and game 3 took quite a while.

Round 2: W/B (2-0)

Big creatues and skullcrack sideboarded in on game 2. My opponent had to mull to 4 on the second game though. i kinda felt bad about that.

Round 3: Master of waves (0-2)

Round 4: W/U control (2-0)

Round 5: W/U Control (2-0)
