Maybeboard

I hate White. Always have. To me, it's the most do-nothing, bland, durdly and boring colour in magic. I made this deck to try to get out of my comfort zone and give it a chance.

This deck is very interesting to me because it forces synergies that I would otherwise think are terrible. Suddenly, most arcane spells are looking great and Splice onto Arcane seems like great value. Soulshift creatures that seemed overpriced suddenly look a lot better.

And you know what? After playing a few games with it, it's broken new levels of durdle the likes of which I've never seen. I have won multiple games because opponents are just exhausted of playing. Otherwise, I have a few finishers in here that have occasionally been effective.

Selectively board wipe when needed (sometimes at instant speed) while beating down with creatures of other CMCs is the main game plan. Tokens are generally safe to play, but they are also a blind spot for the deck. That is, if it wasn't for Ugin's Conjurant seeing the light of day. It finally gives me a way to deal with tokens, but at the cost of also destroying all lands... and losing friends.

For reference, number of Spirits/Arcane Spells at each CMC:

XCMC= 3,

1CMC= 3,

2CMC= 4,

3CMC= 6,

4CMC= 3,

5CMC= 4,

6CMC= 4,

7CMC= 3,

8CMC= 3,

Some important synergies: Nikko-Onna and Blinking Spirit can be reused for multiple explosions.

Hikari, Twilight Guardian, Horizon Seed and Eternal Dragon are very sturdy creatures in the face of board wipes. Horizon Seed in particular can save other creatures that would normally die to our Commander's trigger.

Soulshift is actually a very relevant ability in this deck.

Our mana rocks either sacrifice themselves to get the benefits, are indestructible, flip into lands or have 0 CMC to not get destroyed (almost).

Mithril Coat + Protector of the Crown or any way to give him indestructible or protection makes you very hard to kill and will draw you lots of cards.

If you're ahead on board or have the board under control, Celestial Kirin + Ugin's Conjurant or Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate will halt the game completely, giving you enough time to win. Bonus points if you also have Avacyn, Angel of Hope in play.
