Hey TheCenterOfTheUniverse. I was looking at your deck and I noticed that one card would fit in here pretty nice and snug. The new Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. Petty much whenever you kill your opponents creature you get a swarm of Zombies that you could either utilize to attack with or make Kalitas even bigger. Let me know what you think.

Thanks Trockenmatt! Anyway, I can't use Kalitas for one reason: His 6.9 price. But thanks for the suggestion!

May i recommend A Deathgreeter for lifegain (lots of things will die) and a Cauldron Haze for a 2-mana board wipe.

Seriously? How is that in any way unique or interesting?

Oh, wait. I forgot. Wrong list. My apologies.

TheSlappKake: Deathgreeter is great, thanks. However, Cabal Trainee is not worth it for one mana and one removal, as Squee's Toy and Tower of Coireall give me much more value over time. Also, Cauldron Haze is white, so I can't use it. However, thanks for Cannibalize: It's price makes it much better than Serrated Arrows, which I was considering removing.

I dont play commander but I love budget brews haha.
Maybe Fleshbag Marauder and Killing Waveto bypass hexproof?
Wight of Precinct Six seems like a cool win con?
Blade of the Bloodchief for a non budget version.
Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions!
Those Sack Cards are great, thanks a lot.
Same with Wight of Precinct Six
The problem with Blade of the Bloodchief isn't the mana, it's the equip: you need to target a creature to use it.

Darksteel Garrison works because Horobi, Death's Wail doesn't work on destrying lands. Also, if you run Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, your can protect it.

Thanks for the suggestion for Belbe's Armor! The other two are at least a little too expensive for their abilities.
January 24, 2016 7:19 p.m.
Hero's Blade gets around the equip targeting and pumps Horobi. Mimic Vat can exile Horobi and basically pump one out for 3 avoiding commander tax. Nim Deathmantle can fetch Horobi back for 4 and give him a small pump. Xenic Poltergeist + Liquimetal Coating can turn any permanent into a creature ripe for removal via Horobi. Baton of Morale is another Sacred Armory All the above are less than $5 each. Though I know you're considering it, Cauldron of Souls is like crack to Horobi. It's current average price on TCG is $5.09 (so close).

Xenic Poltergeist + Liquimetal Coating can turn any permanent into a creature ripe for removal via Horobi. Scuttlemutt can act as both targeted removal and ramp. The above cards are less than $5. Though I know you're considering it, Cauldron of Souls is like crack to Horobi. It's current average price on TCG is $5.09 (so close).

Stupid phone, not sure how but I double posted. The last post is the only one you need to look at (the previous one(s) didn't take your considerations into account).

I can tell. The Liquimetal Coating + Xenic Poltergeist combo and Scuttlemutt are great for this deck. Thanks!

Yeah sorry bout that. I just built a Horobi deck myself so got a little zealous with my recommendations lol. Xenic Poltergeist acts as a budget alternative to Karn, Silver Golem which with Liquimetal Coating works wonders with Gate to Phyrexia. The latter unfortunately is over the $5 budget though :(

Zulaport Cutthroat deserves a slot. Nice build, though.

Unfortunately, Zulaport Cutthroat is too much. Like Blood Artist, he doesn't fit into this outrageous budget.

I am definitely going to be piecing this together! The power it holds is pretty cool and with expensive pieces in it I have no doubt it will be a force to be reckoned with! +1 from me mate

Thanks for the suggestions! I can't play Arcane Lighthouse because of the price, but Glaring Spotlight is great, considering I can also sacrifice it to give my creatures protection.

+1 from me for making a $17 EDH Deck
