Ezuri, Claw of Progress Morph Tribal

Commander / EDH Counters GU (Simic)

jetcape15

This deck is trying to do two things:

First and foremost, I wanted to make this a "morph tribal" deck. I'm running the Pickles lock (Brine Elemental + Vesuvan Shapeshifter), many morph creatures, and the morph synergy cards: Ixidor, Reality Sculptor, Master of the Veil, Weaver of Lies, Ixidron, Trail of Mystery, Secret Plans, etc. Morph and Manifest both work well with Ezuri since they come in as 2/2 creatures, which trigger his ability. They are also very interactive, which is something Ezuri decks often lack. Unfortunately, even with all that stuff, there really aren't enough decent morph and manifest creatures in green and blue and fill a deck. So the rest of the cards are classic Ezuri goodstuff and...

...the various Pentavus creatures (Pentavus, Tetravus, Triskelavus, Thopter Squadron). All of them are amazing with Ezuri. You remove counters from them to make 1/1 creatures, which gives you more experience counters, which gives you more +1/+1 counters on them, which allows them to make MORE 1/1 creatures, which gives you MORE experience counters, which gives you MORE +1/+1 counters, and so on. Your experience counters will grow exponentially. Mycoloth is similar but even better, as you don't even need to remove counters with it to make tokens.

This is a fairly low power deck, but it's a blast to play and gives you lots of decisions to make, which is what I look for in most of my EDH decks.
