Hey! Love the deck! +1 I'm going to make an Ezuri build myself. Would you mind taking a look at it? Get Swole with Ezuri

Wrap in Vigor can save your pumped team from a sweeper. Kira, Great Glass-Spinner also nice protection. Renegade Krasis good to further push the counters. Don't forget with Doubling Season your Planeswalkers enter with double loyalty so getting Kiora, the Crashing Wave's emblem would be awesome and much easier; and she can fog the biggest threat.

Cool deck, +1

I don't like one-shot spells that give me nothing extra, that's why I'll never run stuff like Wrap in Vigor. Just a personal preference.

Kira's $12 and makes Ezuri's ability worthless, why would I want to do that?

Renegade Krasis won't be evolving often enough to be good.

Kiora's emblem doesn't interest me, I don't even like the Crashing Wave, I prefer the one from BFZ.

I love it. This has inspired me to mash my Experiment Kraj deck (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/the-kraj-is-life/) and the Ezuri precon together.

Hornet Queen, Awakening Zone, and Nest Invader could benefit the deck.

I don't think I need Awakening Zone since I already have the superior version.

Hornet Queen might get in one day.

Nest Invader just isn't that good.

Ever thought of using Conjurer's Closet, That way you could blink a creature every turn. You could get more and more experience counters and if the creature has an ETB trigger its a bonus.

Maybe add in Invisible Stalker? He fits your 1/1 prerequisite and dumping a lot of counters on him could be useful barring board wipes. Slippery Bogle might be good as well.

@ManicMayhem: if I was gonna run another bounce card, it'd be Erratic Portal, because then I get to choose when to bounce.

@BPots6694: I already have something that makes my whole army unblockable, and if I wanted another way to have evasion, I'm sure there are better options that affect multiple creatures. As for Bogle, it really just does nothing, not even an ETB trigger.

Presence of Gond and a Midnight Guard effect (like Intruder Alarm) would help you amass experience counters, but it can go infinite, so if that is something that you want to avoid, then its not worth it. Genesis Chamber could be a good way for extra tokens and triggers.

Have you thought about Feed the Pack?

November 21, 2015 2:41 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #12

the Gond+Alarm combo is better suited in a deck like Edric, where you just want to go infinite all sorts of ways. I try to avoid putting cards in my deck just to make infinite combos, unless it's a combo deck itself.

Genesis Chamber just gives everyone lots of tokens, not something I'm super into without some control over it.

I know I'm really particular with the kinds of cards I want to play, but that's just how I am.

The main reason I don't like Feed the Pack is because unless you're constantly sacrificing non-token creatures you just spent 6 mana and a deck slot on a 6 mana card that does nothing. And the way I build my decks, I usually don't have much I'm willing to sac, since I don't run vanilla creatures, everything is fairly important besides tokens.

Also, where were you able to alter the html to make your deck look this way? It's awesome!

You need to host an external stylesheet file, there's a tutorial about it somewhere on this site.

Hey! Just took a look at this new Ezuri deck, and I want to say good job! This is a very well-crafted EDH deck... and now I'm going to suggest some additions. :3

First of all, Snake Basket is a valuable addition, as you can pour some of your Kruphix mana or just any mana you have lying around to create an army of Snakes (As well as experience counters.) Hooded Hydra also works just as well. In fact, if you play him turn 3-4 as a 1/1 or 2/2, you can quickly create a snaky threat through Ezuri's second effect.

Secondly, I will say that it's always nice to have some protection. We can't be casting our Avenger of Zendikar only to have it nullified by a Counterspell. So why not include Dosan the Falling Leaf as your Grand Abolisher? Gaea's Herald is another choice, if you want something a bit lower on the CMC scale.

Thanks for reading, and for the awesome deck ideas!

Thanks for commenting. As for your suggestions...

Snake Basket really just gets beat out of that slot by Orochi Hatchery. As I've said before, I prefer things that do things more than once.

Hooded Hydra got cut from the deck a while back to make room for other cards, but there's no reason it couldn't find its way back in eventually. If anything it'll replace Hangarback Walker due to budgetary reasons.

I don't like Dosan, since I happen to run instants, and my own counterspells. The same goes for Gaea's Herald. If I wanted such a card, since I have access to blue, why wouldn't I just run Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir?

Ninja of the Deep Hours for free draw and bounce could be good.

You know, I never considered Ninjutsu cards. It might be worth thinking of trying a couple out.

Very nice deck! I have very similar than this too, simic is the best! :) i wonder, have Thopter Spy Network worked well? I see that you play tokens and dont want big creatures, but maybe Ezuri's master Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur? How about Edric, Spymaster of Trest and that new legendary snake guy Kaseto, Orochi Archmage. I got here a few new cards to consider. +1 for me!

November 22, 2015 9:56 a.m.

Skyfolk says... #21

Kaseto really doesn't do much for this deck, honesltly I don't even like him much at all.

Edric gives all of my opponents free card draw every turn, so no.

I never liked Jin-Gitaxis, and I'd rather just wait to see if that leaked Kozilek is real, since that ability is so much better.

As for Spy Network, it works fine. I almost always have some kind of mana rock out or something like Mimic Vat, since I usually try to mulligan for that kind of thing.

Pentavus and Ezuri can potentially go infinite Experience counters and 1/1 flying pentavites. Also Myr Battlesphere goes well with Ezuri. I also feel Time Spiral has a place in most blue EDH decks regardless of what you're doing with it. Anyways cool deck man, +1

November 22, 2015 5:50 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #23

I wish people would read a little bit. I don't want to go infinite.

Myr Battlesphere was a consideration, but I don't want my curve to be too high, my average CMC is already higher than I like.

Time Spiral does nothing good for this deck, and costs around $20.

November 22, 2015 5:58 p.m.

Kyuj says... #24

Pentavus does not need to go infinite, it's very easy to just use it for synergy. It was almost made just for this sort of deck. But hey, whatever you say.

Oh, and an FYI. You never said you didn't want to go infinite in description or updates. You said it once in a comment. My apologies for not reading 26 comments and for commenting ideas on a flagged deck.

Deck looks great! I've been trying to stir up an Ezuri brew myself, but with a few less tokens and a few more counters than yours. Anyways, thought I'd give you a little input.

First off, personally, I've found that Hangarback Walker is a little lackluster(as well as having a rather large price tag). Yes, it does have to do with +1/+1 counters, and yes, it does make an army of thopters when it dies, but I just find it to be too little for too much. You turn eight lands sideways for just a 4/4? And of course, it makes thopters when it dies, but a good portion of the removal in EDH tucks, exiles, or bounces, not to mention the fact that your opponent could just leave it alone.

Second, Master Biomancer and Bloodspore Thrinax both prevent Ezuri from getting XP. Up to you whether or not the trade off is worth it.

Finally, Deadeye Navigator can read : Get an XP counter, if you soulbond the right creature.

Anyways, these are all just my opinions, I dont want you to feel as though I'm telling you what to do. Hope you found the input useful, great deck, +1 from me!
