Really? I've never tried it, but it seems like you wouldn't be getting too many tokens. Either way, that makes sense.
How has Concordant Crossroads been working for you then? It seems cool, but overall, I don't see the point. I see the obvious synergy with dorks, but does it have much value beyond that?

Scorprix: Concordant Crossroads is excellent when it gets in with a Genesis Wave or Primal Surge. I usually don't drop it for the little dorks early on, but with Wirewood Channeler, Elvish Archdruid, etc..., it can ramp to a pretty ridiculous degree, and with Prophet of Kruphix it becomes incredibly powerful. I usually hang on to it until it's the right time to drop it, but if it gets down as a result of Surge or Genesis Wave, it's pretty much always the right time to have it on the board.
thegigibeast: Yeah, I would definitely swap Scour from Existence with Karn in a heartbeat--especially with my Doubling Season and Inexorable Tide. I don't have one at the moment, but I have some stuff I could trade for one.

But isn't Akroma's Memorial better by that purpose? I would think so, but I guess memorial is a bit on the expensive side.

Scorprix: Oh, Akroma's Memorial is absolutely a better card, yes, but it's also a much bigger hate magnet than Concordant Crossroads--especially if anyone at the table is playing red. Most of your opponents will be just fine with you keeping Concordant Crossroads out because they think, usually incorrectly, that it will benefit them just as much.

+1 because it's awesome and inflates like hell. Nice idea.

hcaselli: Thanks! Glad you like it.
Midwest: After thinking about it, I decided to swap Soul of the Harvest for Edric, Spymaster of Trest. Thanks for clearing up my thinking!

You're welcome. I think he's a welcome addition to the team.

MusicMaster: I ended up swapping Birthing Pod for Creeping Renaissance, as I was finding I wanted more graveyard recursion. It's a choice between that and Praetor's Counsel, which is definitely a better card, but I do play against a mill sometimes, and I like the flashback on Renaissance for that reason--especially since it can fill my hand, whereas if Kozilek, Butcher of Truth gets milled, it all gets shuffled. Plus it's just a straight up good card, that happens to cost a lot less than Praetor's Counsel. What do you think? I've gotten it played in a few games before and it works very well.

Personally I've had a lot of great games with Councel, but at this point I guess it's a preference.

Scorprix: Yeah, I would just as easily include Counsel. I do rather like that flashback feature, though. No limited hand size is generally not an issue for me, and I won't boo hoo if it ends up getting milled or discarded like I would with Praetor's Counsel. And the 5 CMC is surprisingly agreeable.

Scorprix With Prophet of Kruphix being banned, I replaced it with Joraga Warcaller. I originally had left him out because he ends up making me stop getting experience counters, but this was distorted thinking on my part. He's definitely in now.

I must say, I am happy they banned her. I didn't like feeling obligated to include her in the deck. I hate that about any card.
January 20, 2016 2:07 a.m.
Yea she was pretty op.
Except I played Tasigur EDH, so I didn't care haha

Tasigur is boss. I think my next build is going to be a Sultai zombie tribal one. I was thinking of doing Sidisi, but I think Tasigur would be more fun. And a lot stronger. Sidisi is not that fabulous.

Scorprix: Picked up a Nissa, Voice of Zendikar for the deck tonight. I can't tell you how excited I am about this. I took out Heedless One to add her, as it was turning out to be a pretty unnecessary card in most scenarios. She's only really good when you don't actually need her, a lot of the time.
January 22, 2016 5:46 a.m. Edited.
Nice. Yea Nissa's pretty sweet, I might even want to run her in Tasigur, due to her incredible synergy with Avenger of Zendikar and providing blockers for my other walkers. Very sweet card.
Actually, speaking of Avenger of Zendikar, is there a reason you don't play it? It seems like it would be really good here, because you play elves AND Ezuri. Just a thought.
Also, I recommend Expedition Map in every EDH deck using utility lands such as Boseiju, and it's better here than usual since it doesn't interrupt you when you're Surging.
I also see you're using Top. Lucky you. My playgroup banned Top and Lim-Dul's Vault, because whenever one would be cast the games would grind to a halt. Hope you know how to go fast, cause I certainly didn't haha. Good luck, your list looks really solid (except for Tooth and Nail and Craterhoof Behemoth, but that's a story for a whole other day lol).

Avenger used to be in here. I ended up taking him out for Kiora, the Crashing Wave, basically for the exact same reason as Nissa--it tends to be a "win more" card rather than grease in the cogs of this deck. The synergy is fantastic, obviously, but by the time I can drop him, his usefulness has depleted quite a bit.
Both Tooth and Craterfood I have avoided simply for the fact that I find them a bit boring. Obviously things like Genesis Wave are just as ubiquitous, but they results end up being a bit more on the surprising side, rather than "Cast Craterfoot, win", if you get what I'm saying. Also, with Tooth and Nail, it's a non-permanent, which I am trying to get away with running few of for Primal Surge's sake.

Oh--and as for Expedition Map: I think it would be a good addition, but ideally I want the sheer draw power of the deck to help me get the lands I want. I feel like it is better used to set up land combos like Urborg and Coffers. It wouldn't be bad here at all, but It also does a lot less work than it does in other builds.

My favorite combo in my version of this deck has got to be Aluren + Dream Stalker/Man-o'-War/Shrieking Drake.
A proliferation suite is super fun as well, granting the experience counters whether Ezuri is there or not (assuming you managed to get at least one already):
-Contagion Clasp
-Contagion Engine
-Inexorable Tide
-Tezzeret's Gambit
-Viral Drake
The last card on that list becomes a nice target for the counters, along with his buddy Blighted Agent.
If you'd like to take a look over my list as well, there's plenty more on there as well!

Thanks for looking at the deck, CivilizedSin. Some good recommendations there. I'm not really sure why you recommended Inexorable Tide when it's already in here. But the Contagion artifacts would be nice. I'm steering away from instants and sorceries for the sake of Primal Surge, so I don't know if Tezzeret's Gambit does enough to warrant its inclusion here. My playgroup frowns on infect, so I'll keep those out for now. But I really like your Aluren combos. I'll have to think about them.

Haha sorry about that- seems like a can't read worth a damn!
How are you finding Primal Surge working for you?
(PS- Nice find with Bramblewood Paragon- I might be sneaking that into my list as well over Brawn!)

You should also try Karn Liberated for some really good exile removal.
