This deck, led by Ezuri, Claw of Progress , started out as the Swell the Host Commander 2015 pre-constructed deck, which I have overhauled to make my own creation.

The strategy here is to get many low-power creatures into play, then have Ezuri give them counters to turn any of them into major threats. The deck has several creatures with power 2 or less, some of which have evasive abilities like Invisible Stalker , or grant abilities to creatures with +1/+1 counters like Zegana, Utopian Speaker . Others get benefits from +1/+1 counters beyond just the power and toughness boost, such as Experiment One , Gyre Sage , and Chasm Skulker . There are also cards that can bring several small creatures into play at once to really pile on the counters, such as Fungal Sprouting or Avenger of Zendikar , as well as cards that can produce a steady stream of creatures, such as Verdant Force and Awakening Zone . The deck also contains cards with the proliferate mechanic like Inexorable Tide , which increase both my own experience counters and the counters on my creatures.

The deck also has a few cards with infect. While infect is normally an all-or-nothing kind of ability, the idea here is to pile on a bunch of +1/+1 counters on an evasive infect creature like Blighted Agent , to the point where it can take out an opponent in one fell blow. Or, I can simply get one or two poison counters on my opponents, then proliferate them to death while still building up my main strategy. Viral Drake is useful to both strategies.
