The idea is to keep an unblockable Fabled Hero with Aqueous Form on the field and deal tons of damage straight to their health, hence "True Damage".

First, get some early 1 drop creatures, Favored Hoplite and Lagonna-Band Trailblazer, for defense and to bait out removal.

Then drop your Fabled Hero and protect it with Gods Willing, Ajani's Presence or Triton Tactics when they try to remove it. You can also use the counter spell, Dissolve, to keep Hero on the field.

Then throw an Aqueous Form on it and cipher a Hidden Strings and deal that true damage! The hidden strings will be triggered twice so you can trigger heroic and get your hero up for defense and untap some lands for your counter spells/instants!

If they try to attack you, a sneaky Triton Tactics can throw them for a loop and buff your creatures.

Once your Hero has some damage a Swift Justice or Gift of Orzhova will lifelink you up to a safe life total. Or a well placed Bioshift will give Hero lethal damage to secure the victory.

I will need to do playtesting to see the benefit of Hero of Iroas vs Battlewise Hoplite, To see if I need counter spells like, Stymied Hopes vs Dissolve, and also to adjust the mana curve and see whether or not I have enough creatures in the deck.
