Budget morph deck with manifest included.
Plays like a standard morph deck, aiming to build board state while assembling combo pieces.
Disruption
Early
Stratus Dancers,
Icefeather Aven
s, and
Ainok Survivalists disrupt opponents' strategies and can snag some added value if
Trail of Mystery or
Secret Plans are out.
Late game,
Kheru Spellsnatchers take over disruption and can steal bombs.
Build-up
Salt Road Ambushers
are usually just hard-cast to beef up anything that flips, especially
Temur Charger
s and
Sagu Maulers. Usually baits a removal, but if it doesn't you can get some huge buffs.
Trail of Mysterys give a pretty big single-turn buff, and can let your shrimps trade up with bombs. Temur Chargers are trade-up MVPs, and can also double as finishers after you get a few Trails out there.
Value
Best value is obviously
Kheru Spellsnatchering a bomb and throwing it back at them for free, although really anything you snatch gets you some great value.
Temur War Shaman
is great once you have a few Trails out, as you can block + flip to 2 for 1 and get the most of any morph. The body and fight effect alone make him worth playing, getting a free manifest out of the deal is just gravy.
What to watch out for
Aggro decks can get in a ton of damage while you're still assembling your board, still trying to figure out a good way to deal with that. Open to suggestions.
Once you get a couple
Secret Plans out, you stand a real chance of decking yourself. Don't feel bad about flipping
Ainok Survivalists to blow up your own
Secret Plans if you need to.
Sideboard
Based on what type of deck you're playing, you can swap in other morphs to counter.
Stratus Dancers for spell-heavy decks, especially control.
Ainok Survivalists take care of whips and ascendencies.
Icefeather Aven
s bounce voltrons and slow down bombs.
Den Protectors grab back combo pieces against control or destruction decks.
Kheru Spellsnatchers work well against slower bombier decks, help stabilize vs midrange.
Comments critiques and suggestions welcome, but keep in mind this is a budget deck.
