PLAY IT MR. TOOT!

Welcome, Bard Folks ! Here's my list of Yisan, that also is the first commander I built in 2014. I really love the deck concept, a mono green toolbox deck, that che be fast, flexible and resilient. Here's a little explanation of this beauty.

I think that this build of Yisan is fair for two reasons. 1)It's very difficult to have Yisan on the battlefield on turn one. In my previous list I used to run Mana Crypt to do so, but I discovered that was simply too good. Using only 2 cards (Mana Crypt and a Forest) to have Yisan online is insane, cause you invest resources that you will use anyway, so even if your opponents remove Yisan as he comes out, you're in a good position. In multiplayer games this means becoming the archenemy very soon. So, this time my goal is to cast Yisan always on turn 2, using a bounch of mana dorks (such as Llanowar Elves or Birds of Paradise) or some mana advantage (Exploration or Wild Growth) or Chrome Mox. This can appear a minor difference, but it makes your opponents feeling less miserable. 2) I don't run any stax piece. Normally Yisan slows down opponents using cards like Trinisphere or Winter Orb. For fanny game sake, I decided not to run them.
We want Yisan on the battlefield on turn 2. How? Well we need to keep an hand with two lands and one of this thing: Arbor Elf, Birds of Paradise, Boreal Druid, Chrome Mox, Elvish Mystic, Elvish Spirit Guide, Exploration, Fyndhorn Elves, Llanowar Elves, Sol Ring, Wild Growth. After this we have to check our opponents board state and generals. We can go for speed or strategy. If our opponents run slow decks or had a bad start, we can try to overwhelm them with Yisan speed, trying to activate him as much as possible using cards like Wirewood Symbiote or Quirion Ranger, hoiping to reach a big card:Cratherhoof Behemoth as soon as possible. Otherwise, we play with strategy, trying to counter our opponents advantage, smashing their artifact/enchantment and protecting our pieces with cards like Sylvan Safekeeper or Heroic Intervention. We win via aggro anyway.
The only combo of the deck is made possible with the interaction between Temur Sabertooth, Wirewood Symbiote, Priest of Titania/Karametra's Acolyte that produce at least 7 mana, and a 1 one mana elf. We optain infinite mana in the process and we can untap infinite creature. It seems complex to assemble, but often happens cause each combo piece it's good on its own. DON'T GO FOR THE COMBO ASAP in this build. It's an aggro deck.
I know that some cards are very expensive and I use them only because I had a copy before spikes. Here's a list of good alternatives.
