Fairly Budget Edric's Flying Men

Commander / EDH Aggro Tempo

FunkyJammies

Edric is the greatest man (elf). Incredibly efficient card advantage engine if you're building around him (which we are doing), that adds a layer of politics due to his effect being symmetrical. Said politics only go so far, and only really apply to casual metas, which this deck is not tuned for. We're trying to stick a turn 2 or 3 Edric and protect him until we can untap with a few evasive creatures (flying men), and drown our opponents in card advantage.

Once our engine is going, it's very difficult for our opponents to stop it. We're running a ludicrous amount of cheap protection/tempo spells to protect Edric and keep out boardwipes. Once we have a decent enough board presence, we're going to eventually draw into one of our extra turn spells, and attempt to chain together extra turn spells and overrun effects. Surprisingly, we don't miss land drops because we're constantly drawing into lands. We keep the best of the lands, discard the rest, and have a full hand of counters and flying men.

Again, this is budget, and the best place to look at for upgrades is the manabase, faster mana, and of course: the best of the best extra turn spells.
