I know you might have thought of it, but Lightning Bolts can be picked up for dirt cheap to stay within budget, they remove creatures and can make your Cryptborn Horrors bigger. Cool concept though! +1 from me.

Thanks TheBoraxKid! The deck price used to be $15, which is why I didn't run a set of the, but now that I have an extra $10 to work with, I'll go ahead and throw them onto the maybeboard until I update the deck.

Thanks again! :)

+1, always love a good budget deck.

You could consider running Rubblebelt Maaka over Brute Force since it can't be countered by the typical counterspell. Bloodrush also works at instant speed. Rubblebelt Maaka can also double as another creature late game if you need it to. The only downside is that the creature has to be attacking, so it can't protect a creature from being Lightning Bolted. As far as the theme goes, lions have been known to make an appearance in the gladiator arena ;)

There's also Skinbrand Goblin if you wanted it to come out as a creature sooner for whatever reason.

Thanks for the suggestion CastleSiege!

I would totally run Rubblebelt Maaka over Force, but I don't want to have overlaps of cards from the other two decks from my Hyperbudget Aggo Deck Series. It may be because I'm building a G/R/B EDH and it'll be an combination of all three decks, with changes of course. Ya know, just maybe... ;)

And yes! I should totally get a lion into the sideboard! Thank you!

If you like budget, considering checking out my other two Huperbudget Aggro Decks. :)

Anyone suggested Titan's Strength yet? It's a bit better than Vampire's Bite in this context...

Sorry if it's in your other decks.

NoviceMagician it seems we meet once again. About your deck, what are your thoughts on Madcap Skills.

@The_Fatty_Blues, so we do meet again..... :P

Anywho, I have considered Madcap Skills, I was just a little unsure about it because it was a 2 drop and I tried my best to keep enchants as only 1 drops. I'll have to run playtests with it to see how it goes.

Thank you so much for he suggestion! :)

thats a nasty looking deck, in fact, I have a buddy who ran a deck very similar to this back when return to ravnika was still in standard. Im gonna give you the +1, just because I know how mean this deck can be, and am going to hit up my friend and see if I can get a deck list from him to make some good suggestions =)

The only card I question is Demonic Appetite. I just don't see it turning out well for more than a turn so then instead of your opponent having to answer, they only have to stall so a spirit team from Lingering Souls can be game-ending. Maybe replace it with Ordeal of Purphoros or Aspect of Gorgon. They are both great options. Good luck!

Also, I don't like the mountain in the sideboard. Replace them with Rakdos Charm. 4 of them. It's game ending against twin and affinity along with a good majority of combo and reanimator. Good luck!

so, upon trying to remember what I remember being a huge pain in the ass in playing this deck, I recall Thrill-Kill Assassin being almost guaranteed damage in the early game, and Titan's Strength and Hammerhand really driving that home, although it looks like you have that part pretty well covered with the stuff in your "sword" category. if nothing else, I would say that you could benefit from a thrill kill or two, at the expense of a shred freak and a spike jester (although I do love the haste).

Thank you so much for the suggestions guys! :)

@Figag, yeah, O only really use appetite on a turn I need a bit more damage to kill the opponent that turn. That's why I kept it at a 2 of, but I will absolutely run playtests with your suggestions to see how they go! Thank you very much!

@raverswivel, I will definitely also run playtests with Thrill-Kill and see how it goes. I would love to run Hammerhand, but as a part of my HyperBudget Aggro Deck series, I'm trying to keep repeats of cards amongst the decks at a minimum. That is why I run so many creatures with haste. Thank you so much!

Couldn't you replace Demonic Appetite with something like Unholy Strength or Riot Spikes or Firebreathing? I just personally think that the cost of sacrificing a creature each turn is too high. Great deck.

May 30, 2015 12:45 p.m.

@Ridley006, yeah, I'm looking to replace Demonic Appetite. I only ever played it when I needed a little bit more damage to win that turn, but many have pointed out that it can be quite detrimental.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I really like Riot Spikes, and I'm glad you like the deck!

So many congratulations, my archnemesis, on the Top Decks inclusion! Now imagine how awesome the deck would be with cards from your other budget decks haha :) you could always buy duplicates, which is why budget is a very nice thing.

I'm afraid I don't play Standard much (read:at all) but if you ever feel like modifying this for Modern (or building an EDH deck of some sort) hit me up! :)

May 31, 2015 12:54 a.m.

Well, cough cough , this is modern.......................

And yeah, since I gots so many upvotes (17 is the most I ever had) I think I will finally crossover cards thank you very much.

well thanks for killing my punch you in face deck buddy.lmao..I up voted your deck as well..it is very good and I can see it killing my deck :(...wahha...but I digress.. thats the life of magic.lol

May 31, 2015 10:55 a.m.

The only thing I don't like is the Mountain in the sideboard. I'd also consider using Doom Blade instead of Ultimate Price.

I'd also run more hand removal. 2 Duress is great, but I'd have at least 3 Duress and 3 Despise available because removing their anti-aggro plan early is devastating and well worth the spot.

Cool deck though! Very effective for the cost.

May 31, 2015 10:58 a.m.

Thank you for the suggestions Figag! I'll run some playtests with the aforementioned cards and see how it goes! :)

Thanks Brian1! I'm sure that Punch would win as often as this deck would. They're both Aggro.

:)
