1 copy of Raven's Crime for 1 Snapback. Recurring sorcery to trigger Titi when mana flooded. Or if caress sticks without devotion.

I have made the addition of Raven's Crime as a provisional inclusion to the mainboard awaiting match results to warrant a permenant inclusion to the deck. I appreciate the comment.

Repeal Regress and Reality Strobe are all really good options. Into the Roil sees play in modern, as well as cryptic command, and Silumgar's Command

How about Hunted Horror? Then just bounce the tokens? Seems like it fits into the cruel theme of the deck. Really cool deck though, how does it perform against meta decks?

Hunted Horror also interacts well with Thing in the Ice  Flip obviously since it is a horror

Delvers give you an edge in the early game. You're running 28 spells. You should be running delver :P

Hibernation might be a good sideboard card depending on your meta.

How has no one suggested Venser, Shaper Savant 100x better than archivist

ArchFline says... #10

It's not been recommended because it's a bad card for this deck. Jace's Archivist is useful for its discard and draw function coupled with Liliana's Caress if I was to use Venser I would just run Snapcaster Mage.

Cyclonic Rift would be awesome in the sideboard as maybe a one or two of against the Bogle/hexproof decks (when casting for Overload cost). Sorry if it's been mentioned, there were a TON of comments to sift through lol :D

Yes I should archive the comments again as they are getting lengthy. As for Cyclonic Rift it has been recommended before and I stand by my previous statement that the overload effect, while good, is not realistically achieveable given my low to the ground mana-base. I run Displacement Wave as a better alternative for aoe returning.

How about swapping Dragon's Claw for Kraken's Eye? It'll be useful in more matches and still good vs burn.

Maybe Gemstone Caverns as a 1of or even 2of. You're playing a tempo game anyway and not going first is a major disadvantage in this style deck.

Fair enough I have made a couple changes to the deck.

I'm testing a similar mono U tempo deck with scepter and would like to know how functional your build is. Specifically, I'm having a lot of trouble against hatebears strategies. How's your testing going?

I've just gotta say I love this deck, will probably make something similar to see how it plays out! +1

Did you considered Delver of Secrets  Flip in this deck?

How do people take playing against this? I built a deck with some similar strategies (mine is hybrid mill/control/creature damage but has a fair bit of bounce) and have had people on MTGO just conceded because, and to quote one "I can't deal with this boring ****". Currently building it in paper and hoping that people will be more receptive at the LGS than MTGO.

As with all control decks the fun exists only with the one running the control deck. That being said this is modern and a competitive listing no-less so don't bog yourself down with how fun a strategy is for your opponent to play against as by design the goal is to win.

Yeah that makes sense, I've not been much of a control player previously but have always treated it as fair game when up against such decks (and found the fun in trying to work around them). I was just really surprised by the response on MTGO by some people.

So have you taken the his deck to competition yet? If so, how did it perform? I'm very interested in the playstyle that this deck has, but I'm also looking to min/max the cards as much as possible so I can get the most out of the game style.

Still don't see the amazing Cryptic Command Your one ofs need to be reeled in. Consolidate. Watery grave as a four of will kill you, drop it down to 2. Add in a Sunken Hollow or Drowned Catacomb. Come up from 19 lands. Go to like 22.

Also...can we just add in snapcasters? Even as a two of?
