So I have a 1.98 Avg. CMC which is lower than calculated due to some of my card abilities because of this 19 lands is more than reasonable to run. We really don't need much mana to function on given that 3 CMC is our high end. Second I have chosen not to run Drowned Catacomb as this deck utilizes very few lands that actually count as a Swamp or Island and running the catacomb while removing a source of the needed land type would be ultimately senseless. Finally we can add Snapcaster Mage to the deck, a 2 of inclusion is reasonable however the make is immensely expensive while offering marginal bonuses. To explain this reasoning understand that ultimately due to the low Avg. CMC of the deck we run less lands and so using Snapcaster mage on any card above 1 CMC is unrealistic as in most games we won't reach 4 lands until turn 6-7 if even relegating the mage to a less than normally useful inclusion which warrants reduced inclusion volume. The deck you are describing is in fact a very different one to this deck, one that I have constructed but remains private as I don't really care for its style.

I love this deck.. It's basically a control and burn deck at the same time. Have you considered something like Necrogen Mists to force your opponent to discard from hand every turn? I see that this deck has a very low mana curve.. It could be very easy to play with an empty hand.. And if you do, something like Ensnaring Bridge could basically grant you protection from all creature damage.

I might give this one a whirl!

Windfall would also do amazingly well in this deck. It could even possibly be a wincon if they have a full hand.

While it's nice it is not modern legal and Jace's Archivist effectively does the same thing but acts as a body and can recur the mechanic.

Have you thought about Dark Salvation? It's a great removal card and can really create a massive amount of board presence if you're into that type of stuff

It seems like a nice card for limited play, however it is by no means up to par for modern. For this deck Dark Salvation offers effectively no synergy toward my core strategy and limited removal while costing a significant amount of mana for any relavent use of the card.

A generally better choice for removal would be Damnation, sure I don't get the zombies but why would I want them? I run 4 Thing in the Ice  Flip and 2 Displacement Waves mainboard. Tokens only act as counter synergy in this deck.

ArchFline I saw you added one of the new Ixalan cards in Opt. Did you see Perilous Voyage? Would be really good against modern threats like Death's Shadow, Tarmogoyf, etc. and fix your draw as well.

Liliana is unnecessary as we are not wanting for removal or additional discard and already have jace. I feel that the addition of cryptic command would be more than sufficient if my meta becomes more aggro.

Dissipation field is a great card vs Aggro, but both comes down to slowly and exists as a dud draw vs combo strategies.
