Imprint Faith's Shield, Melira, Sylvok Outcast is now a bigger bitch.

Maybe, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay 2 to copy Faith's Shield, which only costs 1 to cast. That's the same dilemma cards such as Reverberate presents. Even worse, Artifact removal is common enough that I could easily sac an Instant, cast the Scepter, and lose 2 cards without even getting anything out of it.

I have the same problem with artifacts. It seems that there are tons of cards to destroy them.

ahahaha unlife+melira
going deep on the angels grace fuck you mechanic.

maybe check out some of those dESPERado and suicide-zoo decks starcity or whocares has been gabbing about
im not sure how youre playing this, but id run more Spoils of the Vault,
which i actually might. i dig how this deck is basically just drafting the last three years lol
im less than 10 cents away from owning this deck

Thanks for the comments, wolfhead. It's been fun to play and tinker with. I've looked at a lot different suicide builds as it is. I can't recall which, by who, or how many, though.
I'm playing Spoils of the Vault as a dangerous tutor - I don't really expect to get the same combos out every game, and without Melira+Unlife, Spoils becomes all but useless. But I'll have to experiment with how many I run.
As far as Isochron Scepter is concerned, I think it costs too much and takes too long. Using the Scepter, it would take me until T3 to play all the instants in my deck, which in my mind makes them less effective than they would be just be cast for 1-2 a piece.

Near-Death Experience as a wincon with Angel's Grace?
Anyway, nice deck +1

Thanks, captainawesome3, that's a great suggestion! And thanks so much for the +1, I really appreciate it!
I do wonder if Near-Death Experience is going to be effective as a 1-of, but I've got to give a go.

Melira combos with Phyrexian Unlife - The deck tries to lose life at a rate so that when I hit 5 or less, I can put the combo down, protect it, and swing with Death's Shadow. Or win with a Near-Death Experience. Or with a bunch of tokens via the Fateful Hour effect on Gather the Townsfolk. The point of the deck is to make losing life an advantage.

I don't want to gain life, though, that would make Death's Shadow smaller. When Melira, Sylvok Outcast and Phyrexian Unlife are out, damage goes out the window.

Sure, I could, but then the deck wouldn't be what I was trying to do. After all, the deck is called, "I want to die," not, "I want to live." The goal of this deck is to make taking damage a benefit instead of a loss. There are likely better ways to take advantage of losing life, but I haven't found them.
I can cast Faith's Shield to protect Phyrexian Unlife, as well as put more than one into play, which often happens - and just about anything can be lost to removal - not exactly a reason not to run a card.

Thanks for the comment, nashbridges52, and while I am aware of that combo, PierreThePlaneswalker is exactly right - it's all about that Fateful Hour. Maybe I should rename the deck "Fateful Eternity."
