This seems like a very viable build. My only thoughts are that worst fears is a high cmc slot and running two you might see one earlier then you could cast it. I would consider dropping 1 for 1 more land. Given your curve you need to hit a land every turn and currently you don't have enough draw/mana to consistently make this happen. I would consider more basics given Burning Earth in your sideboard as well. Good luck with the build and hope this helps.

The issue with cards like Worst Fears is that, by the time you cast it the game will already be over or close enough not to justify the use of the card. In addition 2 copies of a card means the chances of getting it each game is bad. I recommend taking out 2x Worst Fears and putting in 1x Far / Away and 1x Cyclonic Rift .

I like your idea, I though of him in a control at first as well, but god of storms to me seems like he would be much more suited in an izzet burn deck. He is like the missing piece to it. My reason for thinking this way is due to the fact that he does damage as an effect. control decks dont really need that. they just grind out till they hit a win con. but if you use god of storms and a bunch of low cost burn spells you can make a deck with maybe only 20-22 lands with 2-4 cost spells and most likely after landing your god you would reveal a burn card, he would burn for 3 and the you can magma jet for 2, then scry 2 make sure the next 2 cards are burn spells, reveal and burn twice again, it could be ridiculous

@SwiftDeath Burning Earth is mainly sideboarded due to the release of Mana Confluence and against more aggressive decks that end up tapping-out more often than not. I'm considering removing it in truth.

@derekharsh I agree that Worst Fears would only be played once the game is nearing it's end, but I am trying to think a bit more proactive in this build. When RTR rotates out the meta should slow down seeing that the only sources of mana would then be Mana Confluence , the scry lands, basics, and whatever else they give us in M15. I did drop it down to one copy though.

@Corruptola I totally agree that this guy would be a monster in an Izzet Burn deck. I feel that he does have a place in control though. Typically control decks prolong the game. Keranos deals damage passively as the game progresses. He also acts as an alternate source of card draw. In theory, he should fit in just fine. Perhaps more so in an American Control build at the moment, butit never hurts to think outside of the box.

Instead of Worst Fears , why not run Ral Zarek ? He adds to devotion to Keranos, God of Storms , has built in removal/burn, and can still gain you extra turns if you get him ultimate?

I see the possibility of using Chandra, Pyromaster to copy it 3 times, but that's if you don't draw it.

Also, Burning Earth is going to hurt you more than it will them I feel. After RTR/2014 rotates, deck will be AGGRESSIVE for a short time as monocolored decks will be the best thing to run due to the lands we will have available (unless some duals are printed in 2015)

RDW usually has a big outburst once October hits as they are some of the most consistent decks being monocolored.

Drop the Anger of the Gods in your side for two Slaughter Games after game one you know the deck and can just demolish their win cons. Also maybe get rid of the Magma Jet s and replace with Counterflux

this is actually a really great deck. Love the idea. I'd suggest more burn to help get a real bang out of Dictate of the Twin Gods .
