Oh crap I forgot...you definitely need to utilize a graveyard full of instants and sorceries...Treasure Cruise or maybe some spell mastery spells?

lol, the problem with treasure cruise or dig is that it would exile my graveyard, which I want to reuse with day's undoing. Anticipate may not be a bad choice though, for some extra search...perhaps if I dropped the lightning berserkers, and added the anticipates...hmmmm

I would suggest replacing the Swiftwater Cliffs for basic lands, it is still an aggro deck and I felt in playtesting that the fact they come in tapped slowed the deck down too much.
On a more positive note, I have been wanting to brew something like this ever since Stormchaser Mage was spoiled. +1!

kltisawesomethanks, and yeah, thinking I may drop the swiftwaters for 3 mountains and 1 island, want to see how my test hands work out once I have it all in physical cards :), but definitely something that may happen :)

I don't know if this is just me but I feel that Zada, Hedron Grinder would be an awesome addition for this deck so much buffing could be done, just a thought though.

You need to add Zada to this deck! it would be amazing!

INNISTRAD21darkdawson123eh, don't think zada runs well with the idea for this deck, zada does not work with prowess lol...that being said, here's what I put together for zada...

Glyax its all the buffs that he runs being able to swing in with all the prowess and the buffs from Zada seems strong.

4 day's undoing seems like too many. Would you really be happy to have a 3 cmc card that doesn't work great with prowess in your opening hand? What about 2 of them? The way you want to use it reminds me of Elixir of Immortality in UW standard. You only want 1, maybe 2 if you really like it. I think cruise or dig would be worth it though. You want to drag it out to reuse spells? Why not just draw cards and use spells to use right away? I know when cruise was legal in legacy that is what you wanted to be doing with mentor or whatever.

I like spellfist, being able to stack the +1's, and make him unblockable, make him another threat for the opponent to deal with :), plus he has a little more of a booty than lightning berserker. I also decreased days undoing by one, and added in anticipates :)

hmmm, not sure if I want to run 19 lands instead of 18, opinions?

So I have to say after play testing this a couple of times, I felt zero compulsion to use Day's Undoing, and instead was going after the cheaper spells on a regular basis. Isn't Arc Lightning still in standard? I feel like I'd rather be using that to Day's.

Here's a list of spells I'd rather be playing than DU:
Comparative Analysis (which you play for Surge)
Grip of the Roil (surge again)
Send to Sleep (Locks down a couple of defenders for Swiftspear to get through and deal direct damage, and keeps them down later in the game)
Sure Strike for lack of anything else?

Cptcog not really going for burn spells, and if I were to take out days undoing for something, i would rather do Fall of the Titan's over Arc Lightning. A more believable 3 drop spell would be howl of the horde, the problem being it doesn't really capitalize as much on the prowess triggers
January 20, 2016 2:39 p.m.
hmm, some good suggestions in that list, grip of the roil may win out, for the draw effect, and I may put disperse in the sideboard
January 20, 2016 2:43 p.m.
Both Fall of the Titan and Howl of the Horde are pretty conditional. I don't think I'd ever play them either. This really IS an aggro deck, and anything to boost the aggro'ness, rather than it's functions, is better than boosting it's flavor.
January 20, 2016 2:48 p.m.
Yeah, as I'm looking at it, thinking if I drop down the day's undoing, then I can put in 2-3 send to sleep main board, and possibly take out the jori en and put in 2 grip of the roils... not sure if I want a 3 drop creature in, but at the same time, if I play him t4, and then expedite on him...that could be pretty combo riffic haha... Changes aside, how is it performing speed wise for yoU?
January 20, 2016 2:51 p.m.
I may keep 2 day's undoing in the side, if I move it away from the main, in case I face a deck that swiftly removes my aggro from the board, I can repeat and do it again
January 20, 2016 2:55 p.m.
I'm telling you, I used to think just like this, back in the day, but I picked up a lot of habits while playing with a couple of hard headed aggro friends, and they'll tell you: You would rather be able to dig faster through your deck and play it faster than your opponent than have to restart your drawing.

I playtested a little and I really feel like this deck could use some Anticipate or Dig Through Time to get more noncreature spells or more creatures, whatever you need at the time. Looks good though! Let us know how it does when you build it.
