Alright I playtested a bit and I have the feeling that this deck just isn't focused enough. You say you want to be aggressive, but cards like Anticipate, Jeskai Sage and Dispel just slow the deck down too much to be called such. You're trying to have an answer to everything, but that is typical of a control strategy, not an aggressive one.
Now either you can try and go on a slower route, but in that case I'd recommend playing Elusive Spellfist and Slip Through Space again in order to be able to slip past his defenses even when he starts playing his own larger creatures. You would also want to have some more burn spells like Roast.
Or you can go the aggressive way, but in that case you should worry less about what your opponent might do and instead think about how to kill him before he can do anything at all. Have the enemy react to you instead of the other way around and push him into a corner. This strategy also works well with spells like Devour in Flames in order to get the last point of damage through even after he plays a sweeper or manages to control you in some way.

Aric, just a quick question. When you are playing the deck, are you making sure to utilize anticipate during combat, to get extra prowess triggers off, while also searching for what you need for your next turn?
also, devour does not damage target player...just creature or walker

Glyax Expedite is still a solid card put them in sideboard. A 4th stormchaser was a great move. You could throw in a couple Abbot of Keral Keeps It has a great concept don't give up on it!

MorrisCode52 k, took out the negates in the side, put in expedites. The only thing keeping me from adding in abbots right now, is it is a gamble. I can't play it as a t2 play, it has to be t3 at least, and that is a risk at wasting a card. with jeskai sage, I can play it t2, and when it dies, I get to draw the card, so I prophet from it, and don't risk losing a card

ah yes Exquisite Firecraft then and yes, I utilize the prowess. However if you play it on t2 you only have Monastery Swiftspear at maximum meaning you deal 3 damage in the first 2 turns and only have one puny little creature on t3. If you play it on t3 or later, it's even worse because other decks have Anafenza, the Foremost, Savage Knuckleblade, pumped Hangarback Walkers and stuff like that on t3. Your 2 2 power creatures mean nothing to them, you get blocked and that's the end, sure you could threaten, but still. At the least you want to have him near dead on t5 or so. replace Anticipate with cards that you would like to go get and the deck will be a lot faster.

Anticipate is really slowing you down. If you want a good quick deck you would want to put in more prowess creatures shu yun is great for this maybe put a third one of those in.

on t3, it can be better actually...if you are just relying on one little swifstpear. Enter combat, cast anticipate, draw titan strength, cast titan strength, your puny little swiftspear just became a 6/5 and you get to scry...I'm not saying this is perfect, but I'm trying to point out if I add in those 3 cost burn spells, then aren't I doing what you said I shouldn't be, and trying to work around every problem set?
January 21, 2016 11:34 a.m.
hmmm....i like the ability to look at top 3 for something good...but maybe...maybe i can think of something better...gimmie a second guys :P
January 21, 2016 11:35 a.m.
k..how about I take out the anticipates, and add in 3 sure strikes, and 1 more wild slash?

nope because Exquisite Firecraft is good in every situation. situation 1: you still have some creatures and you can attack the opponent, then firecraft triggers prowess and deals 4 damage meaning a very lethal attack. situation 2: you still have some creatures, but you can't get through, firecraft can deal damage to the opponent and perhaps lets some creatures through. situation 3: you just got hit by a sweeper and have lost all your progress, then firecraft can often still kill your opponent.
and that t3 scenario is only relatively good when your opponent never blocks. if he blocks that with a hangarback you're fucked because he just bought himself 3 turns at barely any cost. the only moment anticipate can be good is if you play a swiftspear on t1, anticipate on t2 and find a temur battle rage and then on t3 you play titan's strength + temur battle rage on swiftspear and it doesn't get removed. trust me any good mid-range or control deck takes this thing apart.

playtested it again and I like it, it had some trouble against abzan aggro, but all decks do. I also like the variability that Sure Strike's and Brute Strength's effects give me. I was a bit short on mana and didn't really get to use Sage's effect because he was always the last one to be removed, but with the many +3/+1 effects, you can really hit home, especially with Temur Battle Rage or Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest. Send to Sleep also did wonders. I think this is a lot better and a lot more aggresive. You have my approval, +1 :D

Aric_Haldan glad you enjoyed :), I'm really hoping to make this deck shine :)

I fiddled with this build and splashed some green in it, let me know what you think. Would love to work with you to see how these play out. Power sURGe

And just last night I was saying to my playgroup that I wanted to build Izzet aggro. Then I find this deck. I like it, thank you for putting so much effort into it. Of course a few minor tweaks for my meta, but overall really solid. May I make a suggestion though? If it were I, and I were looking for a 2drop blue creature with prowess I would run Jeskai Elder over Jeskai Sage. A little bigger butt, and I get a card every time it deals damage instead of only when it dies.

sadly no, Temur Battle Rage and Monastery Swiftspear both rotate in april and they are quite important :s, but that's still pretty far away right now.

I like this deck but I don't want to spend 20$ on cards that will rotate in 2-3 months.Would you still suggest me to build it and then just put in some replacements?

Most of these are commons so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting them, however if you would need to buy them all online and you don't want to spend that money, You probably shouldn't build it. Shadows over Innistrad is most likely going to have most of it's goodies in black and white and lots of lifelink stuff, so there is a high chance this deck won't be viable anymore. If you don't want to build a new deck after rotation, I suggest you look into ally, eldrazi or black or white decks.
January 24, 2016 11:23 a.m.
agreed, the trick with decks right before rotation, is that if you haven't been getting all the pieces overall, there really is not much of point tracking down everything for 3 months. That being said, this deck is super fun to play :)

I don't get a few cards. Sure Strike, brute strength, and send to sleep don't make sense to me. play the unblockable draw a card instead of send to sleep. sure strike/brute strength r just pump spells, but the extra line of text doesn't relaly mean anything tho

There, made some more tweaks, added one more land, added a 4th stormchaser, put slip through times in side, mainboarded wildslash, took out expedites (might put them back into side, idk how the draw ability will be...they were a way to keep my hand full)
