I've built one similar to yours called Master Splinter, feel free to take some ideas off it. I'd never heard of Ratcatcher , and that makes very happy to see it.

Ekuryua, I find that Gauntlet of Power works better in this deck. The fact that it's only basic lands doesn't affect this deck much, it already has enough ramp, which isn't much seeing as how it's a rat deck. So really, it's a caged sun for 1 less mana.

Zikkeryzak, I only play EDH with my friends, and we allow you to proxy anything but original Dual Lands and anything banned in Leacy. I have a Strip Mine , so I don't need to proxy, and everything else I do. In a tournement, just pull out anything you can't afford for a Relentless Rats .

Replacing Imperial Seal with Diabolic Tutor should get rid of at least 500-700 dollars alone. So that's a start.

Nice that's awesome my combo don't work in EDH cause it uses blue (Intruder Alarm ) but the staff works the same (more or less in this case) and in case you was wondering yes tokens do go to the grave yard so you can sac a token rat he just made to make more over and over again and all you need to start it is 2 other rats sac one make 2 then 3 then 5 then 9...... Well you already know this

Phyrexian Reclamation - 2 life to return a rat from your graveyard to your hand.

Crypt Rats - because it's a rat and can finish off an opponent just a bit faster.

Vedalken Orrery - everything looks better with flash. :)

HOLY RAT JESUS Thornbite Staff FTW!!! Heck yes! Phyrexian Reclamation is pretty sick. keep resurrecting rats and sacing them repeatedly. I had already considered Crypt Rats , but found that, while tempting for quick finishers, is not worth the 3 mana for a 1/1 that would probably kill all my other creatures and not kill them if the have anything that can give them life or prevent the ability. Vedalken Orrery is cool, but doesn't seem to be needed here. I don't like Diseased Vermin at all, and Infected Vermin isn't really worth it when I'm constantly sacrificing tokens, not creature spells.

You don't seem to have a whole heck of a lot of removal- do you have trouble dealing with any deck types in your play group?

Lake of the Dead sets you back a bit but is a repeatable Dark Ritual and works even better when you have-

Crucible of Worlds : allows you to recur those cycled lands netting you more card advantage. It has way more utility than say Nihil Spellbomb since you have a lot of graveyard interaction and it's really only one more mana. Plus you can get back any of those lands destroyed by Strip Mine effects.

Grave Pact combos well with Marrow-Gnawer and gets around indestructible effects. It also triggers your Ogre Slumlord . I'd use it over No Mercy because you have control over it's effect while you don't have any effects that force your opponent to attack you.

Replace Necropotence with Plague Wind and urborg with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

Also replace 1 Relentless Rats with Nezumi Graverobber for more graveyard recursion
