Deathrite Shaman looks like a good way to get value of those lands your blowing up, but apart from that , it looks like an efficient way to ruin someones day, so it gets a +1 from me

I was considering changing this for FNM magic tonight....

-4 Clan Defiance for +4 Bramblecrush (for use against Walkers and artifacts and enchantments in addition to lands)

-4 Ember Swallower for +4 Oracle of Bones (the Ember Swallowers, while powerful and high toughness, often did not have a chance to pop in the games I used them. This way, it's more proactive, and I get a chance for a free Bramblecrush/Demolish/Frenzied Tilling)

-2 Polis Crusher, -1 Savageborn Hydra for +3 Nessian Demolok (especially since the Hydras and Polis Crushers, while useful, do not fit the land destruction theme)

yes i think that bramblecrush might be a good substitute.. depending on what your playing. definatley play test that first. also, if you get out ember swallower you are basically guarunteed game. oracle of bones either way is not that great..

You're probably going to end up realizing that you're not blowing up land early enough, and you'll go jund and end up using Contaminated Ground and Deathrite Shaman .

Alright I'll say it, Xenagos, The Reveler should be in this deck. I understand if it's too rich for your blood but the ramp will help you power out those beaters and blow up their lands faster.

Oh, I love Deathrite Shaman. My broke ass can't afford three more. As far as Contaminated Ground goes, that's a good option? I've never seen any returns from land enchantments. What else would you suggest? I'm thinking Reaper of the Wilds for sure... Putrefy, Abrupt Decay? Scavenging Ooze?

Honestly, land destruction is gonna be really hard to pull off in the current Standard, however if you wanted to try it, this would be the list to make it happen. I would also highly recommend Deathrites, even if you dont go 3 color.

I've got two Deathrites right now. Think a pair would work/be enough? Additionally, would two Stormbreaths be enough? I'd drop the two Polish Crushers first, independent of whatever I put in their place.

What would you suggest I switch out for the Stormbreaths? Xenagos go to sideboard, pull the Primordials completely? Sideboard two of the Colossi? Also, I can appreciate that the Confluence is great, but I can't afford them... I COULD afford four Temple of Malady... think that would be viable?

Quick answer- playtested four times with four Temple of Malady and the answer is an enthusiastic yes.

Ok so I would honestly say get rid of the Zhur-Taa Druids, and at least 2 of the Colossi, adding in Polukranos at a minimum of 2 of, some Ghor-Clan Rampager , and some removal other than Clan Defiance to make this more playable. I would also move Xenagos to the sideboard and move Nylea mainboard. Do you have money for walkers?

Okay, so let's say....

-4 Zhur-Taa Druid, +2 Polukranos World Eater +1 Stormbreath Dragon

-2 Arbor Colossus, +3 Ghor-Clan Rampager

-4 Clan Defiance, +4 Searing Blood

-2 Xenagos, God of Revels +2 Nylea, God of the Hunt

I would say +3 Mortars +2 Dragon instead of 4 Searing Blood, if you can do that, mainly because I feel like Blood just misses a lot of real threats out there.

Looks good! Personally, I think I'd put Anger of the Gods into the main board instead of the Mizzium Mortars it's faster speed and cheaper if you're going for a board-clear.

Other than that, Skullcrack is a side-board must and maybe Peak Eruption too, if you're going for land-destruction.

I'm not sure what you'd take out to add them in, but a few Dictate of the Twin Gods could pretty much win you the game with all those trampling fatties.

Anger decimates my ramping creatures. Peak Eruption definitely has a home here in the sideboard at least. Turn 2 land destruction with mono red being so prevalent these days makes sense. I have two Dictates of the Twin Gods. I'll play those sideboard first. They might make the difference against control.

Also, I'd do Lightning Strike over Skullcrack so I could target a creature. I'd choose Magma Jet for scry-ability.

If I was going main-board, I'd probably use the Lightning Strike , but with so many life-gain spells going around modern right now, Skullcrack is fantastic for sideboarding against a Pillow-Fort or Sphinx's Revelation deck.

Also- splashing blue for Master Biomancer/Boon Satyr? Prophet of Kruphix? Vorel?

Desecration Plague and Demolish for Bramblecrush and Mizzium Mortars , respectively. That's if they don't reprint Bramblecrush, which they may.

I'm pretty close to where I want to be, what would you suggest instead, JUSTBLAZE?
