@Biffy12 Definitely one that I will be adding in. Currently I'm trying to cut costs until I get this in paper and test it out, but it will be included once I have more money to dump in here.

Have you thought about using Koth of the Hammer since you're using mostly Basic Lands it could be really helpful.

@Brierre Great, I forgot about Koth and I already have a copy. I'll add it in

I like the deck. +1 I would add Scourge of the Throne, just because. And maybe, Mind's Eye or Staff of Nin, because mono-red is commonly lite on card advantage. (cut Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded for Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker works great with Solemn Simulacrum(lands and card draw), its works great with Zealous Conscripts(infinite tokens) and Wurmcoil Engine (6/6 that leaves two 3/3's), also a bunch of other stuff)

@chrisdavis Thanks for the the +1.

I do like Scourge of the Throne, but I don't know what I would cut for it.

I threw in a Staff of Nin, cutting Firemaw Kavu. You are correct, card draw is important. Luckily I can use Solemn Simulacrum and Clone Shell as card draw with Feldon

I will eventually add in a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. I'm first going to build and test out this deck, then I will start adding in more valuable cards as I can trade for them. He is way too good to not add in here. However, I don't intend to cut Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded since this is a deck that he kinda works in. I really want to feel cool about using Tibalt and him actually being good. Plus I have a playgroup that loves drawing cards, so I want to hit a couple of his -4's and force them to reconsider how good Tibalt really is.

+1 for loving Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded. I have 2 decks (Daretti the Scrap Whisperer and Lyzolda's Carnival of Carnage) that each put him to good use. No one pays him any mind, and then he ultimate's, winning the game (it's happened twice for me in the last 2 weeks). Tibalt has also helped me not miss land drops.

I'm a big fan of Scuttling Doom Engine so respect for using that.

I guess my only card suggestion, if you have the budget, would be Gamble. Red sorely needs tutors, and the chaotic nature of the card (will I keep the card I went for or not?) synergizes well with your overall theme, like Tibalt does.

@Ender666666 Thanks for the +1, Tibalt is hilarious when he actually works. I got the foil duel deck one, excited to get some use out of it.

Scuttling Doom Engine is perfect for this deck, you attack for 6 then it dies and flings another 6. The not being chumped bit is just extra goodness on top.

I will add Gamble into my maybeboard. Currently its a little expensive for me to buy, but I will try to find a copy via trading. I had entirely forgotten about the card... It's perfect with the theme here.

Cool. Oh, another costly card but one that would sync nicely is Sneak Attack.

December 9, 2014 10:47 a.m.

lemmingllama says... #10

@Ender666666 I do love Sneak Attack, but it's price tag is a bit hefty for this deck. I have other decks that I would probably want to use the value in instead, ones that are designed to be more competitive. It also doesn't help that Sneak Attack is worth about half of this deck assuming commons and uncommons are actually valued at full price. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Clone Shell seems like awesome tech for Feldon. Totally stealing that. I also like Stalking Vengeance here. I don't have any suggestions yet as I'm still building my own Feldon, but your list is inspiring.

@Spitfirefox Glad that you can find some inspiration. I just looked for the Enter the Battlefield and Death triggers, and then tried to abuse a lot of them.

December 10, 2014 10:43 p.m.

Aggravated Assault? I don't know how much attacking you do though.

I was going to suggest Sneak Attack but I see that's too expensive, which is fine.

Looks fun to play! Reanimator and artifacts are always interesting, and the two of them together, well, here you have it lol

December 15, 2014 10:42 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #14

@ThisIsBullshit Sneak Attack is a piece that I would love to have, but it is very expensive. Maybe one of these days I will get it.

Aggravated Assault would be nice, but I would need 3 mana to reanimate a creature, then another 5 to attack again. It would just cost too much. Something like Scourge of the Throne would probably be better, since it can be resurrected and save me the extra mana.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

How much value are you getting out of Dualcaster Mage? You only have two sorceries that really benefit from it so is it more for copying your opponents spells?

December 18, 2014 6:03 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #16

@Necrotize Dualcaster Mage is good since I see a lot of Tooth and Nails in my playgroup. Additionally, it means that I can save myself from counterspells, just copy it and counter their counter. I haven't put this deck into paper yet since I'm still waiting to receive my Commander 2014 deck, but I do see it as somewhat useful. If he underperforms, Dualcaster Mage is going to be one of the first cards I cut. Thanks for the suggestion!

A good card to take its place if you do end up taking him out is Bosh, Iron Golem. Reanimate something with Feldon and swing with it, then after combat sac it to deal damage again. Especially if he's the one you're reanimating. Swing for 6 then deal 8 more to any creature or player.

December 18, 2014 6:28 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #18

@Necrotize I'll certainly have to playtest him, I really just need to see if my deck gets to 7 mana on a regular basis or not. I plan on reanimating something every turn from turn 4 onwards, so unless I consistently get ramp then he might not be ideal. Still, the amount of damage he offers is too much to pass up. Thanks for the suggestion

December 18, 2014 7:29 p.m.

Already upvoted your deck, so let me make a suggestion. Have you considered Extraplanar Lens? It's a great source of ramp for mono red, and if you only run snow-covered mountains nobody else at the table is likely to benefit. Cool deck, btw!

Necrotize says... #20

Totally forgot about suggesting ramp cards. Caged Sun and Gauntlet of Power are nice options. Caged Sun is probably the best option if you're looking to stick to a budget though and it has the added benefit of only boosting your creatures/lands.

Discard outlets are always good too. Grimoire of the Dead can be a game winner, plus it gets your opponents graveyard as well. Anvil of Bogardan is amazing for your purposes.Lets you pick what you want to go into your graveyard and helps with red's lack of draw power.

lemmingllama says... #21

@MaelstromHobo I would love to add in an Extraplanar Lens, but I have another deck that needs one before this deck. If budget wasn't a concern at all, it would be in here.

@Necrotize I had Caged Sun in here earlier, but I found that it just wasn't impactful enough. By the time I had 6 mana, I didn't really need 12 or more. This deck doesn't have a lot of drawpower, and it is more so focused on using Feldon's ability. A better ramp spell for that is Heartstone, and that is what I would put in first.

I had forgotten about both Grimoire of the Dead and Anvil of Bogardan. I will have to add them in ASAP, I think I have an Anvil lying around already. Probably will be cutting Platinum Emperion and Stalking Vengeance, maybe a Thran Dynamo instead.

Thank you both for your suggestions!

Upvoted. Seems like a pretty unique deck. Have you thought of adding a little black in for tutoring? It might help your engine run smoother, but I could see if you didn't want to change it up that much. Another thing to look at would be the tibalt decklist from the sorin vs tibalt duel decks, you may find something really worthwhile in that list. It looks pretty synergetic with this one.

Also, would you mind checking my deck out if you get the chance?

@ektoe253 Thanks for the upvote. I do plan on sticking to Feldon of the Third Path as my commander, and so I can't add in Black at all. If tutoring really becomes an issue, I will likely try to pick up a Gamble or just add in Planar Portal/Ring of Three Wishes. Still, for now I want to try silly shenanigans.

I also checked out the Tibalt deck, but it was much more focused on trying to deal a quick 20 points of damage to one person. Since this is EDH, I will have multiple opponents and at 40 life each, so I think I will stick with the bigger and splashier cards that my current deck has to offer.

Thanks for the comments, and I'll be sure to look at your deck.

I heard your playgroup likes drawing cards. I also hear that Vicious Shadows realy likes people like that. Someone had an elesh out, and I played an avenger of zendikar, almost wiped the table (except the aggro player)

lemmingllama says... #25

@Minerva I do love Vicious Shadows, but it often costed too much to be effective. Warstorm Surge hits more reliably, and so I will need to keep Vicious Shadows on hold unless my playgroup starts hating on the amount of land destruction that I'm running. I might just swap Ruination out. Playtesting ahoy!

Also thanks for the comment!
