So, I have made some changes and substitutions to the list lately, and have adjusted for a smoother curve. Wingmate Roc is an exciting addition to the list.
Having goldfished a little, I now see the wisdom of adding Cloudfin Raptor, and have restored Judge's Familiar to its past glory. I am also testing out including Keeper of the Nine Gales because, options.
Finally, I removed Skullclamp and Bident of Thassa and have gone back to Airborne Aid... Although dependant on having birds in play, nothing can overwhelm an opponent as explosively as drawing 7-12 cards in one shot... When it works, it really works!
My main concern now is the mana base. I feel like I am focusing on non-basics too heavily, and am open to suggestions on any changes that might help me add back in a few basics for the inevitable Path to Exile and Ghost Quarter, but would still allow for as few hiccups as possible... Maybe some fetches?

So, for anyone who still follows this list, I'd love some advice or suggestions. I think I want to add in 4x Thran Quarrys, and need to make some cuts. Should I eliminate the Cavern of Souls? Should I cut down on shocks? What should I do?

How effective would this be with just a split of say 7, 7 and 6 for each color basic land as to avoid having to fork out for the dual lands

Did you know that when you suggested i look here from the other page, the highest rank number for both was 14? And try as i might I can't find a solid suggestion. Certainly fun though.

Quote from The Big Bang Theory Season 5 episode 9:
Penny: Really? On top of everything, you're afraid of birds?
Sheldon: Its called ornithophobia and someday it will be recognized as a true disability, and the landlord will be required by law to put a giant net over the building. Which is unfortunate. Because I have a fear of nets.

I want to breathe some life into this deck, and am inspired by Watcher of the Spheres.
I've also thought about adding Pride of the Clouds and Skycat Sovereign, but is that too off theme in this Bird deck?
Thoughts and Upvotes please :)

I've also pared the deck back to its Azorius roots and eliminated Green from the equation in the hope of streamlining it a bit. Thoughts?

Great deck, I am a bird deck lover, and for many years I have been designing a bird deck, but this looks really well done! can I ask you how you solve the problems of total destruction against you? ( Day of Judgment Cleansing Nova Wrath of God. potentially total destruction could be in your favor thanks to Soulcatchers' Aerie but I wouldn't like to be out in the open for a long time. and maybe with all my best creatures in the cemetery.
I would still like to ask you a question, you did not feel comfortable with Seaside Haven?

I tried this deck with some of my friends, very funny! I tried to play this deck online in legacy but has no hope, it would be nice to create also a competitive alternative version for the legacy. Birds have great potential, but it's not easy to create a tribe that competes with them in the legacy format. However, I really appreciate your work! Keep it up!

I say that as long as you had fun playing the deck, you won. :)

I really miss Judge's Familiar in this deck. It's an amazing 1-drop in your deck, which you can pay using either blue or white. What else do you want? It gives you fast agro and with its ability you postpone sorceries and instants cast by your enemy by 1 turn in early game.
How do you feel about including Keeper of the Nine Gales ? It might be a bit slow, but the ability is really powerful when your enemy is relying on combo's. Especially with your Flurry of Wings , you will have enough flyers to tap.
I did not include Skullclamp in my bird-deck because it is only useful in early game. As soon as 1 counter is on the Aerie, it is quite hard to pull off. Maybe you can convince me of including this in my own deck? Please view and discuss my deck: The Bird is the Word
I also had Cavern of Souls in my deck, but with Thran Quarry you are that much more certain you will be able to easily cast your Flurry of Wings. I'd say remove Prismatic Strands . First of all it's very defensive, and you need to be agro. Second of all, there are much better defensive cards.
