Captain N'ghathrod pre-con deck reworked to focus more on milling the table while getting value out of the milled cards.

The hardest part about making a deck focused on mill in Commander is obviously that 92 is a much higher starting number than 40. Finding ways to get the maximum value for your mana investment increases in difficulty with more opponents, so cards that mill 3 or 4 cards from one opponent and draw you a card become irrelevant. They just don't pack the punch you need to clear a table.

This deck has the potential to mill out your opponents one by one or all at once, but the mill is really used to fuel your game plan of making an army, pumping your creatures, using their own graveyard against them, and turning mill into life damage.

Mill Tech

• Bloodchief Ascension and Duskmantle Guildmage turn each milled card into life damage. Mindcrank makes it an infinite combo that will either drain their library or life total.
• Undead Alchemist summons a zombie horde hungry for brains and shuts down reanimator decks that would benefit from being milled.
• Consuming Aberration, Nighthowler, and Sewer Nemesis can easily one shot an opponent and/or put chunks of their library into the yard. Bond with Imperious Mindbreaker and cave in everyone's brain at the table before damage.
• Cards to steal with: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, Brainstealer Dragon, Intellect Devourer, Nautiloid Ship, Steal Enchantment, Memory Plunder, Extract from Darkness, Psionic Ritual
