It's really, really simple to play this deck in theory. Burn all the things quickly and furiously with cards like Lightning Bolt, then use cards like Reckless Impulse to keep your hand full of more fuel. If all goes well, your opponent should be a pile of ashes before they had time to set up anything. You'll want to ignore any creature that isn't an immediate and serious threat.

This deck is inspired by my insatiable passion for Chandra Naalar. As such, flavor is also an important feature of this deck. While some minor exceptions have been made for the sake of utility, like Needle Drop, this deck should generally be focused on burning the shit out of things and being impulsive, raw, and violent.

The only tricky part of the deck is dealing with its weaknesses. This deck's primary weaknesses are creature rush, which you can deal with by swapping in a Chain Reaction. It also hates damage prevention, so swap in Skullcrack to deal with that. It will also be pretty much completely useless if someone happens to have a Witchbane Orb or the like, so you'll want to swap an Abrade in. Jaya and her Pyroblasts are there because I personally hate counterspells, though there are not as big a problem for this deck as they were before. The only other problem is enchantments. Red doesn't have a nice way to deal with those, so if someone uses an enchantment to give themselves Hexproof, you'll have to rely on the Chandra's Spitfire or Chandra's Pyreling to seal the deal, beefing them up by burning your opponents creatures.

PS. Swap Searing Spear with Skewer the Critics if you want to get serious ;)

So, I decided to make some final changes to the deck. After a LOT of play testing, and balancing card draw with burn, I think I have finally got this deck in its true, final form. The only changes I'd make from here on it is if a card that was effectively Needle Drop but with a Chandra or burnination flavor, or if another Lightning Bolt card came out with, again, more burning flavor.

The changes are as follows: Needle Drop now has a full playset, Fiery Temper was removed, as were any cards like Cathartic Pyre that made me discard, replaced with Searing Spear which was a good compromise of damage-per-mana and flavor. Chain Lightning was removed and replaced with Spite of Mogis to make the deck Modern Legal. Pyroblast was removed and replaced with Overmaster, because it more effectively does what I want. If only it were instant speed. I'd give up the card draw for that, really.

In other words, not much, but it came out beautifully.
