First off you only want about a 60 card max in any deck to have good consistency (too many cards means less chance to draw what you want.) second the standard ammount of land for a aggro type deck if that s what you rgoing for is about 20 to theres an equation that helps figure out how much mana of each colour you need in a deck. i suggest looking at other green/black decks on here for some inspiration for cards you might want to use, but it ultimitaly sepends on what your wanting to spend on the cards for instance if you want to use dual lands those are going for about 10 bucks each right now. and almost every deck with more than one color uses dual lands i hope this helps yo alittle.

The guy said he was new to Magic, I was suggesting cards he may not know about. I didn't see you suggest anything so you can just kiss the fattest part of my white ass. If you have something to say to me, PM me instead of displaying your folly for everyone to see.

Thanks for the comments. This is basicly the result of the green intro deck and 2 boosters. I was actually trying to find Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord last night cause I think he'd be pretty solid. I don't know what deck types are (aggro, ect.) but I've heard people green is good cause of its powered creatures and I think thats what I want to shoot for.
Also, is there a way to get Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and one of the Garruk Planeswalkers in a deck? I really like those cards.

you should start with green. Its easy and strait forward to play.i like 4x Deadly Recluse try to find 4 Elvish Mystic either from your friends or find some kid at a store that has extra.make sure you check card prices on an app or whatever, so you dont trade away any of your valuable cards.getting 2x Brindle Boar would be good too.get more Doom Blade as well
if you plan on buying more packs i would suggest return to ravnicaits the money pack right now. also don't trade dual lands for anything but other dual lands. they get more important the longer you play.
also to eslaton7751, y u mad. probably waiting for me to respond too :P

Shooting for Jarad and Garruk both is a good idea, they're all solid cards for Green and Black. Elvish Mystic I agree with, and Arbor Elf can untap an Overgrown Tomb if you happen to get some of those in booster packs or whatever (Return to Ravnica definitely being your best bet for boosters as the Golgari Guild is from that set). Naturalize is a classic card and will be very useful, there are a lot of powerful Enchantments that need to be destroyed. Dreg Mangler has been a popular one and I think they're pretty easy to get. Caravan Vigil and Abundant Growth are good too for mana ramping.

Welcome to MTG!!
I am relatively new also. I used to play back when Ice Age was released (1995 I think) but have begun again this year.
Aaaaanyways... I have always liked to have one or two theme in my decks. It helps me decide on cards much better than just looking at individual strengths/weaknesses.
Based on that, ask yourself what you want your first deck to do. You have green and black here, it might be a good idea to focus on large green creatures eg, Woodborn Behemoth Garruk's Horde and using mana ramp cards Elvish Mystic , Ranger's Path to get them out eralier. something like Primeval Bounty would be nice too.
Black could provide you with creature removal, giving you time to get them big boys out. Doom Blade and Putrefy are good starts, what about Devour Flesh , Far / Away and even Grisly Spectacle .
Anyway, I don't play a lot of green black. I would recomend playing plenty of FNM and trying things out, see what you like and what you don't. Get your own combo ideas and themes, then design your final draft.
GOOD LUCK!!

Looks like you have a pretty good start, welcome to MTG by the way. I'd be searching for some Lotleth Troll , Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord , Varolz, the Scar-Striped , Deadbridge Chant , Slitherhead is a solid one-drop, as is Deathrite Shaman , Gaze of Granite is pretty good, but Abrupt Decay is awesome, Vampire Nighthawk is killer as well. Happy Building! :) +1
