Granting Hexproof to all Allies until end of turn...
Kabira Evangel's best friend.

I'd prefer an ally that just has hexproof to be honest. 1green 1colorless 0/1 elf ally with hexproof and whenever it or another ally enters the battlefield it gets a 1/1 counter.

I just want more playable allies in colors outside of white so you don't have to feel like you must make every ally list W/x/x. You look at the white allies vs the allies in other colors, and it doesn't even take a seasoned player to note that white got many of the best allies.

Completely agree, W has so many good allies, if BFZ does bring back Allies, I expect a more variety in R and B

I think allies is ready to compete at top tier! I think my list ive used in the dailies is really close.

@aubman02: Is your list (All-in-Allies) up to date? Have you tested Chord of Calling to enable a toolboxy number of one-offs such as Tuktuk Scrapper, Ondu Cleric, basically the non-growing Allies which are enough with one or two on the board?

sweet! DSJJ, I'm glad to see the world wide community playing it! What do you think of his list? Oh yeah, I also have been working on a list with Collected company.Johanson, I originally opted out of using chord cause of the triple green, but now I am currently running one Ondu Cleric. I think it would really come in handy there. TukTuk is pretty awesome too.

aubman02 It's because of this list that results in the inclusion of 2 Boros Charm. I had contemplated for a long while when I first started this build. It gives the extra reach that we sometimes need, the indestructible to prevent wipes and removal and double-striking is a nice touch!
However, I feel that Path is unnecessary in the list; we are going all-in aggro for the build, so removals are at the bare minimum but not essential. I rather top-deck another ally or coco/gambit to boost my clock against them.
Adaptive Automaton seems to be a unique touch, but I'm not sure of its relevancy other than the extra +1/+1 buff. It's a lord at best and a dead 2/2 vanilla card at worst if no allies in play.
Tuktuk Scrapper seems to be a nice finisher, but at 4 mana, it's a little steep. Worth the risk to try if we manage to survive that long.

He is running 26 creatures with Talus Paladin, which gives him only 24 creatures for CC, which i think is too inconsistent.
Adaptive automation seems like an interesting touch, it might be worth subbing that for the bird, although I really like the evasion. Tuk-Tuk Scrapper is pretty cool, but it would either have to be used through vial or hardcasting. I personally think it's rough getting the vial to 4, since we have so many 2 and 3 drops.I like his ideas, but I think that deck is trying to do two different things; tempo and all in aggro.

If you all else are still doubting that Ally decks are still style but no substance, and lacking the firepower or speed to deal against other top contender modern decks, take a look at the 2 decklists below.
From my Experience, the good match-ups are as follows:
Fair Match-ups in our favor:
Match-ups not in our favor:

I haven't been trying to change my list too much in hopes of new stuff in BFZ xD
August 11, 2015 4:57 p.m.
Hey, xxDSJJxx Those are some good match ups!
In regards to Elves, I've been play testing a RW Burn/Aggro Allies against Collected Elves and its won 8/10 times.
Allies are truly versatile and once BFZ comes in, our 25 cent cards will be 25 dollars!

Started playtesting a Naya Aggro list yesterday (wip, constant flux), and got kind of wrecked against a suicid-ish Death's Shadow/Monastery Swiftspear + Mutagenic Growth/Become Immense/Temur Battle Rage deck. Similar to Infect, it deals almost unavoidable lethal on turn 2/3. I didn't find any outs, I guess I should start playing Spellskite SB or some Removal MB (pretty much only played Gas, realized that's a mistake now). Thoughts on this matchup?
August 13, 2015 4:05 a.m.
I really think the best allies build, at least the turn 4 win, is 4-5 colors. But I'm open to other ideas. the rw burn allies sounds interesting. I haven't had much luck with naya allies. not enough of the allies.

I am not certain since I didn't get to play vs control yet, but I have the feeling that against decks without much removal/sweeps, 3-4 Ondu Cleric MB can really give a huge edge in many matchups. It doesn't necessarily have to replace a beater (I play only 3 Harabaz Druid for example), and easily gives plenty of time to build up a board with lethal. Of course it distracts from the gameplan (aggro beatdown), bt I've been faring pretty decent with it so far (like I said, didn't play many removal-heavy matchups yet).

Main strategy is definitely aggro beatdown. But, Allies have incredibly strong late-game board position. The only thing you have to worry is either refuel or keeping them alive. I agree that 3-4 Ondu Clerics in the deck will cause massive headache. There are games which I won purely because the lifegain from them is simply too much for the opposing deck to handle.
I am still contemplating about including Harabaz Druid. It has not shown up in any of my matches since I have included it in.
I did an old deck which abuses Halimar Excavator ability with Angel of Glory's Rise. If anyone is interested, the link is here:

I have won the last FNM (against affinity, tooth and nail, jeskai control and merfolk) with my Graypelt list. Looking forward for tomorrow's FNM

Here's our first Ally for BFZ!
Human Ally Guy (not actual name) 2GW
Creature - Human Soldier Ally Rare
(This card)'s power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures you control.
Tap another untapped Ally you control: (This card) gains your choice of first strike, vigilance, or trample until EoT.
I like that you can play him after all the other Allies and he will be immediately as fat as a Turn 1 Hada Freeblade. Downside is, on an empty board he doesn't do as much. Regarding the second Ability, I like the versatility but generally (except in topdeck mode with Harabaz Druid on the field) we can't afford to activate his ability since we want to attack with everything. Situations where we might want to actiavte his ability (and I think mostly for trample) would be if we don't think we have to block with Kazandu Blademaster or have Allies such as Akoum Battlesinger or Ondu Cleric which we don't want traded away.
August 17, 2015 7:43 a.m.
agreed on the new ally.
chascarrillo, can I see your list?
I think Ondu cleric is tough, since lifegain isn't always relevant. like, with all the twin out there for example.

Just came across this article, I think he makes some fair points. The list looks decent, and I certainly appreciate the power of Suppression Field more now. His list is a bit more risky, but as he said can be pretty damn explosive.
August 17, 2015 8:23 a.m.
Yeah, that's the same list from the PPTQ Italy list. Idk, it seems to risky for me.
