I think Tuktuk Scrapper comes one or two turns too late, maybe we'll see a reduction in his cost similar to Talus Paladin and Lantern Scout. Though I don't have any experience with the match up, I am aware that they are capable of basically having the game in their hand by turn 3 or 4. Maybe playing Wear / Tear is more useful?

People buying out in case it becomes viable in Modern? After all it's Gaea's Cradle on a stick, allowing hand-dumping supreme.

I suppose. I always found it lack luster to be honest. It went from like .80 to 3 in a day

I think what we're really looking for is the uncommon allies and common allies. I foresee them bringing the +1+1 counters back: It's an easy ability for the non-rare allies.
I also think we will see at least one more one drop ally, and plenty of two drops.
When is the date they will give us the rest of the spoilers?

Just found this article: http://modernnexus.com/deck-of-the-week-allies/
I think it explains very well the way aggro allies works. You should check it out!

Didn't we already discuss that one here? Anyways, like I said he makes some good points on the importance of Suppression Field and how you need to balance your enablers (Hardened Scales and Aether Vial) with your Allies.

wow....we totally did.... smh....must be getting old....I think I didn't fully read it then. wooooow

But you know, I dont think we got to talk about the enablers as much, and esp using interactive cards like the command green white card.
It makes sense what he's saying about vial, it just seems like your losing a lot if you drop it.
Suppression field is good if you do drop vial and have less fetch lands.

Hey y'all just got back into Magic a few months ago and man does it seem like the right time to get back into things!
Played allies back in Zendikar block, was just wondering if anyone had thought of/tested a Naya Hardened scales build that utilizes Harabaz Druid and Kazuul Warlord? Throw Hardened Scales in there and you have some SERIOUS reach when you pack the aggro package of Battlesinger, Blademaster and Freeblade. (Obviously include CoCo or whatever other enablers you want)

My god!
You can tell that Allies are coming back- or that people think they are!
Harabaz Druid went from M:$.35 to M:$3.80 in under 4 days!
Anyway, great guide! Cant wait to bust some BFZ and try out allies in standard.

I don't think it hype for allies so much it is hype for cards that can ramp super fast into newlamog. Shaman of Forgotten Ways also spiked. And that card is still terrible.

Every advice is welcome!

Hey OnyxPariah, I played that exact naya build until a few months ago, when I turned my list into a CoCo build by removing red completely and switching the high cmc allies for CoCos. A week ago, sadly, I removed the hardened scales. They were good, and fun, but the deck really needed those slots. The reason for dropping red is the mana fixing and already having nice sideboard options in selesnya colors.

Lets hope one of the columnists likes allies!

Hype for new Allies! I should probably wait to build the deck until BFZ comes out.

If you want to build the deck, pick up everything but the druids now. I'm expecting Hada Freeblade and Kazandu Blademaster to both spike.

Thanks Chascarrillo, Just wanted to see if that was a viable train of thought; Maybe running Chord of Callings and going for a toolbox approach might be interesting as well

BrionacThe build I am running now with All-in-Allies beats more than 75% of the modern meta right. You could use my list and still do really well at your local gaming store.

I feel like the new Gideon is good as a one of (2 of max) or a sideboard card. I was curious about using a card like evolutionary leap and making a reanimator style allies deck. Running Return to the Ranks, Rally, and stuff like that. Thoughts?
