Enchantment (2)

Fish Fingers

Pauper Merfolk

Using the normal Merfolk strategy of Islandwalkers, and pumping, this is what I have come up with.

I'm thinking I might cut down on a land if I run in to too many.

4 Spreading Seas + 2 Aquitect's Will both make the deck. Still relatively useful if the opponent has Islands, due to the card draw. But, if you do not find this useful 4 Counterspell and 2 more Nyxborn Triton can come in.

[Just a reminder; Saprazzan Skerry can be turned in to an island with Spreading Seas and Aquitect's Will.]

Streambed Aquitects Our common lord, pumping Merfolk. If we for some reason don't have an island enchantment for the opponent, can turn land in to islands.

Stonybrook Banneret Bringing that cost down!

Gravelgill Duo This one I wasn't overly sure if I wanted. It does get very large if we play many blue spells in succession, though. May replace with either Paperfin Rascal or a couple Inkfathom Divers for bombs [if need be].

Deeptread Merrow , Rootwater Commando , and Enclave Elite are our island walkers. If we've accumulated a lot of mana somehow, we have Enclave Elite to pump, aswell.

Nyxborn Triton , a good 2/3 body, but if we accumulate enough mana it can be a decent enchantment, too.

Infiltrator's Magemark To give extra pump.

Aqueous Form to work alongside Infiltrator's Magemark , to scry, and to help out poor non-Islandwalk Merfolk. //The "can't be blocked except by defender" is basically non-existent. The scry helps get rid of useless lands, and continue the onslaught.\

Piracy Charm Is always relevant. Each mode can work in many situations.

Mode 1: If one of our non-Islandwalkers are out, and we have no way to attack safely, this can provide Islandwalk.

Mode 2: +2/-1 Can be used as either a kill one the opponents smallfolk, or pumpspell on your Merfolk!

[This gives a decent boost alongside Gravelgill Duo ]

Mode 3: Probably the least used, but discard can always be useful. Discard is usually always stressful for an opponent. Especially when it seems they were trying to hold on to something. If an opponent is down to 1 card, this is even better.

Sideboard

If all you need are Counterspell then Piracy Charm can come out, or when you need to remove Spreading Seas or Aquitect's Will.

Nyxborn Triton for the longer games, or when you need to remove Spreading Seas or Aquitect's Will.

River Merfolk For anything with mountains!

Prismwake Merrow Colour protection!

Suggestions

Updates Add

Removing Triton Shorestalker in place of 2 more Nyxborn Triton for more relevance.

Better synergy, and better late game.
