Or Meletis Charlatan to get more value out of your instants and sorceries, or force the opponent to double up on a desperate move on their part.

It's funny you mention the charlatan; he was in the veeeery first build but just seemed he rally underwhelming at the time.
I'm actively looking for the coffe, though. Maybe Nykthos as well.

You know, I love that card; I don't know why I never considered it.
I've been reevaluating the exact need for aetheriling and Ink-eyes for the deck, maybe I can play around with it in their spots to see what works.
As for darkslick shores, I personally dont like the Scars duals, as I hardly get them coming in untapped in EDH

Trep blade ' s cool, but I haven't needed it much at the moment. I could see it coming in though.
I love Geth, but I don't know if I want him replacing AEtherling , Cao Cao, Lord of Wei , or Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni

I suppose the three things I want but can't decide what to replace for are Geth, Lord of the Vault , Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver , and Trepanation Blade

Yeah, the deck looks great, but I honestly can't think of anything to cut either. Playtest and keep track of what consistently underperforms, then try out those replacements.
I do see that Geth made it in to the deck for now tho

Yeah, I talked it over with a friend I collab with, I replaced seizan with geth, and I think I'm going to cut an island and swamp for Thespian's stage and cabal coffers and nights Whisper for ashiok

I really think Rootwater Thief should really be in here.
Suggestions on what to replace? Thoughts on the card itself?

Jace, Memory Adept Nighthowler Phenax, God of Deception Mind Grind Reap Intellect Nightveil Specter are just a few cards I think could help this deck.

Hey there! Here's a +1 to round you up to 40!
If I may make a suggestion, based on what I've seen from my Lazav deck, it's that Mind Funeral is often kind of underwhelming.. When you think about it, in a 82 card deck (99-opening hand, on turn 10) with 40 lands (30 remaining in deck, assuming they never miss a land drop), you will usually mill about 12-14 cards, which is almost best case scenario. I would rather have Mesmeric Orb to consistently mill the whole table turn after turn, and buff up stuff like your Pike, Sheoldred, etc. Mesmeric Orb helps create the sense that there's a hole in the boat and the water is rising.
Traumatize is another card I don't like all that much, because it is sorcery speed, single target, and never ever acts as a finisher, even for 5 mana. If they have 2 left, it mills 1. Worse and worse value as the game goes on. That's why I prefer Keening Stone, like an instant speed Traumatize each turn, and uncounterable.
Rather than the Ooze, I have found Undead Alchemist to be a huge boon. It turns all those mill cards (which normally bleed card advantage) into a board presence, plus it helps versus reanimator strategies. (bonus points when used with Altar of the Brood)
Syphon Mind vs Mind Twist - it gives you cards.
Tainted Isle is a cheaper dual at decent speed.
Whispering Madness vs Wheel and Deal, it's repeatable with an evasive creature.
Other fun stuff is Lord of the Void and Wrexial, the Risen Deep, who looks like something you could fish up on a bad day

Tunnel Vision? Works wonderfully with cards that put stuff on the bottom
