Here's my take on the feared Red Deck Wins for the standard post-rotation: lots & lots of burn, for a competitive price.
The deck revolves around the high sinergies between the creatures, firebreathing and burn spells that allow to control the opponent's board while punching trough a lot of damage;
So far i have had good results against midrange and control: unlikely modern burn decks and more creature based t2 red decks it isn't build to race from the start but to build up a big burst potential in the midgame; it has surely better reach than pure aggro and also better tools against usually bad machups (i've managed to beat also green devotion with coursers and nylea's disciples)
I've got still to figure out the sideboard and the tactic against all out red/black aggro
Suggestions are appreciated!
Here's the deck breakdown:
Creatures:
Monastery Swiftspear the Bluff Master: the pump treat will scare off a lot of key blockers (e.g. Courser of Kruphix) and once equipped with Dragon Mantle the damage will mount up quickly
Firedrinker Satyr
the Puncher: early damage and more firebreathing to screw up the block step and save burn spells
Akroan Crusader
the Utility: good ability with "Stoke the Flames you play cost 1 less to cast" (hehehe); also provides more attackers/blockers
Satyr Firedancer the Star: while the other guys manage the punching business, he makes sure that the other side of the board keeps nice and empty to receive them; play in multiples for extra fun
Burn:
Lightning Strike Standard heavy-duty removal
Magma Jet scry
Stoke the Flames
4 damage at potential 0 cost; comboes very well with Satyr Firedancer and can killCourser of Kruphix on the spot
Arc Lightning versatile removal, deals well with little creatures
Other Spells:
Dragon Mantle allstar: firebreathing is super relevant as it makes the block step more difficult and allows to deal a lot of damage while saving the burn spells for the treats or to finish off your opponent; also provides some velocity
Titan's strenght very good trick, and also Scry
