Took the deck to FNM, and unexpectedly did really really well. Played 5 rounds as follows:
Round 1: R/G Land Destruction
Game 1: He was so surprised that I never played on my turn, he didn't know whether to attack or hold back and block. Easy win.
Game 2: Opponent said he had no idea what to sideboard against me. His land destruction usually came after I had a 4th land on the field, which was all I needed to respond by flashing in creatures until he was overwhelmed. Another quick easy win.
Round 2: Gruul Monsters
Game 1: I came out swinging with 2 Shamblesharks getting up to 4/3's and beating in for the win.
Game 2: With some tricky blocks (responded to Stormbreath Dragon with Skylasher and Briarpack Alpha) I got his field to be wide open for a winning kill, bestowing Boon Satyr on Horizon Chimera. 2-0 so far.
Round 3: R/G Heroic
Game 1: I don't know what my opponent was doing, but Simic Charm kept all his heroic guys off the stage for an easy win.
Game 2: Stuck on 2 Islands. Lose.
Game 3: Once again, Simic Charm wins the game. 3-0
Round 4: Red Devotion
Game 1: Once again, this deck surprised my opponent. 2 Horizon Chimeras on turn 4 and 5 keep him from hurting me much while I beat down and finish with a Boon Satyr Bestow.
Game 2. He's got me down to 2 Health, and he has a Purphoros and a Hammer on the field. Unfortunately, I have just enough damage in the air to finish him off while he's tapped out. 4-0
Round 5: Black Control (Not Black Devotion)
Game 1: This guy must have at least 20 removal spells in his deck. I get in for damage, but not for long as he just kills everything I play.
Game 2: Things get worse with his addition of Lifebane Zombie from the board. He gets in for a very easy win.
I end the night at 4-1 and 3rd place. Not bad if I do say so myself.
