This deck was a lot of fun and I want your opinions, so please leave me a comment on what you think about my ideas and how you think it could be improved.

I am a serious Magic the Gathering fan-boy and a lot of the people I associate with happen to share the same interest. One day my friend and I were talking about cool ways to Cheatyface cards into play, and one of the combos we really liked was Blightsteel Colossus + Proteus Staff in a creature-less deck.

My deck construction is largely influenced by MTG Salvation's "formula" so I will explain how I made my deck a "good deck".

The Plan

My deck has two separate win conditions, either do a massive creature swing and cast cards with instant speed to give them all a generic buff, like Guardians' Pledge, or I can use cards like Proteus Staff to pull either a Blightsteel Colossus or a Darksteel Colossus. Because I have a lot of creature tokens in this deck, I can use the convoke ability to my advantage by still being able to spend my land mana on counter-spells and instant responses.

Key Cards

I feel like any card that doesn't do something to benefit me in some way is a waste of a card. So I am going to defend my choices for each card. This doesn't mean I will ignore constructed criticism however! That would be welcomed greatly.

Beckon Apparition - This card is key for controlling the graveyard. Pesky Vengevine bothering me? I don't think so. It also provides me an early game target for my Proteus Staff.

Guardians' Pledge - One of my possible win conditions, swing with a bunch of TIM (tiny irritating men), wait for blockers to be declared, and cast this to potentially win.

Mana Leak - pretty awesome counter spell. I removed two golems as suggested to add in two of these. Kjartan suggested I added two Dig Through Times, but after some thought I felt some more opponent interaction would work better in this deck.

Path to Exile - Pretty good removal, but I feel like there could be something better, perhaps a generic non-land permanent exile would work better. If you want to help me find something better to replace this I would be very grateful.

Raise the Alarm - I mostly added this because I didn't like how little creatures I had on the field early game. It seems to fix that problem pretty well.

Remand - I already have two copies and I love 'em. Very powerful counterspell to the hardened Magic doers.

Roar of the Kha - This card is okay, usually I just cast it to give my creatures a buff for two mana. Almost never does it end up entwined, but I like it because I can choose to un-tap my creatures instead of the buff. In theory this helps me with my convoke spells, but I have yet to see it do anything actually useful when it un-taps.

Thirst for Knowledge - This card made the dropping of my black possible I feel. The original deck idea was to bounce back creatures to their owner's hands, then make them discard the card. I would discard one of my artifact creatures if I needed to dump it back into my deck.

Hour of Reckoning - Board wipe that doesn't hurt me. Think about it, the only non-token creatures I will ever have will be indestructible.

Lingering Souls - I always like to say that a good deck uses all its available mana each turn. When I play this card and cast it from the graveyard later on, I get to use potentially wasted mana effectively.

Polymorph - Meh, does the job for my combo, but I feel my staff is just better. Have it in there as a "one of" because I have an irrational fear of someone side-boarding in cards with similar effects to Stain the Mind.

Spectral Procession - This deck used to run black as well, so I would usually have to pay too much mana for this card. Since I removed black, this card is much more manageable.

Triplicate Spirits - Works nice with Lingering Souls as well, because I can cast Lingering Souls and then convoke my fresh spirits for maximum mana efficiency.

Blightsteel Colossus - One of my fatties, have 'em in here because of my irrational fear of deck breaker cards, as stated above. Think about it, if I have infect, it could in theory, give me a reasonable win condition against "life-gainers", as my friend likes to call them.

Darksteel Colossus - My preferred fatty, works nicely with aggressive attacking. One of my win conditions.

Proteus Staff - Key card for my win condition. The keyest, of key cards.

Flooded Strand - Mana fix, target for my Beckon Apparition in a pinch.

Glacial Fortress - People don't value check-lands enough IMO, and since I only have two colors, and these are the only "non-island" "non-plains" in the deck they work nice.

If you leave me a comment that is just a link to a card with no arguement as to why it would work well, it will be ignored. Again though, I am really interested in your guys opinions, just don't waste both of our time by leaving a half-assed comment.

Examples of shitty comments:

Why no Storm Crow

Treasure Cruise

Remand suck

Example of a nice comments:

Frayace -

things you could try:

Polymorph -another Proteus Staff .

Flayer Husk -token+a buff if the token dies.

Spiritual Visit -token.

Perplex -searches for Proteus Staff.

See? It doesn't have to be detailed. :)

I am very, really, really very, sorry if my porr speling and grammers' bothers anyone.

Honorable Mentions and Other Information on Card Changes

Kjartan - "Aren't you overkilling it just a bit by having 4 Golems :3, i'd keep it to 1-2 and get some Dig Through Times to set them up +1 nice." - this led me to dropping one Blightsteel Colossus and one Darksteel Colossus for two Mana Leak... Thanks Kjartan! 11/23/2014

I have decided to remove Path to Exile for Detention Sphere. This change was because I feel paying the extra mana late game would be better. 11/25/2014
