This deck went 4-0 at my FNM Booster Draft (BNG, BNG, THS). My main stars were Eater of Hope, Oracle of Bones, and my ample amount of removal.

DRAFT

Round 1 - Born of the Gods

Opened the pack and got the Eater of Hope. I was pretty ambivalent. I like black but was never a fan of this card. Little did I know he would do wonders for me. The rest of the round I pick average black cards and blue cards.

Round 2 - Born of the Gods

Oracle of Bones was my first pick. Was perfectly fine with switching from blue to red, I love the red Theros-block cards. Rest of the round I got decent black and red cards.

Round 3 - Theros

I like Theros A LOT more than BNG, so I was looking forward to this round. But OF COURSE I open the pack and see a Pyxis of Pandemonium. I went with an Insatiable Harpy first pick instead. Still got some decent red and black cards. I also hate-drafted a Thassa's Emissary. The guy to my left went Simic, and the guy to my right went Boros, so I got some decent black cards and very solid red.

MATCH PLAY

Round One (W 2-1)

My first opponent went Izzet. The first game of the match I won pretty handily. Had a lead of 20-6, then he stalled for a bit, and then I finished him off. Eater of Hope, Oracle of Bones, and Fearsome Temper were my best cards. He beat me the second game, he had tremendous card advantage with Sphinx's Disciple and cut me down with other flyers. The 3rd game I beat him in a very close game.

Round Two (W 2-1)

My 2nd opponent went Orzhov. I beat him the first game pretty handily. A bestowed Eater of Hope (Also had to use his Regenerate ability a few times, as well as his destroy ability) and then a Bolt of Keranos to the face was my finisher. He had a lot of creatures but they were too small up against even my vanilla Borderland Minotaurs and Cyclops of One-Eyed Pass. The 2nd game he got some annoyingly good combo going with Servant of Tymaret and other Inspire enablers, paired with good removal of his own.The third game was much like the first, Eater of Hope swings and Magma Jet to the face.

Round Three (W 2-1)

My third opponent went Orzhov as well, but had a much better deck than the guy I played in the 2nd round. The first game, I took a 20-6 lead, but he ended up coming back for the win when I stalled out and he got two Servant of Tymaret's going. The next two games I just overpowered him with my creatures and aggressive removal early on those annoying Servants.

Round Four (W 2-1)

My final opponent, who was also 3-0 overall for the night was using Boros. The first game I was just playing catch up the whole time. Everything I played he killed. I was down 20-3 by the time we were even keel. He then finished me off.The second game he had to mulligan down to 5, so I was really aggressive. I bestowed an Impetuous Sunchaser and killed everything he played with removal. The third game was a stinker for my opponent. He stayed with a 2-land hand and a Vanguard of Brimaz. I would have done the same. Unfortunately for him, he was mana-screwed for a LONG time and I destroyed him with Oracle of Bones, Cyclops of One-Eyed Pass, etc. I also had plenty of removal in my hand just in case, like Asphyxiate and Lash of the Whip.

END RESULT: 1st Place, 4-0
