The deck hopes to hunker down behind Coral Barriers and Wall of Frost, hitting with evasion, and controlling the opponent's board until Cone of Flame and Chandra can open a hole in their defenses.

Chandra was Pack 2 pick 1, I'd already drafted a few red cards and she sealed that deal. Blue was fairly open, before the draft started I overheard several players discussing how "blue is really weak in M15" and apparently they believed it.

I got mana screwed several games with this deck. Both games in match 2 I had less than 4 lands out by turn 6 and I just got run over by a guy with 4 Netcaster Spider and several other low-cost creatures. My final game ended in the last extra round, mostly because my 2nd mountain didn't appear until turn 18 or so. Is there something wrong with the mana here? I'm new but 17 seems pretty standard for a limited deck. Did I just get a bad draw?

I'm curious if Amphin Pathmage would have been more useful than Paragon of Fierce Defiance. I don't think I ever even played the Paragon.
