My FNM Hero Boros deck. --> (A Boros Aggro deck which is significantly cheaper than a normal standard deck.)

The following is a list of why I run some of the cards I run, in place of others. An (x) will appear after the cards that I would be willing to replace with other, cards.

Akroan Hoplite (x) --> Gets along well with a lot of the other creatures I have, as it's a very aggressive card that relies on me attacking with a lot of creatures. It works well with Coordinated Assault and also with Evangel of Heliod.

Arena Athlete (x) --> Helps a lot to make some of my creatures have a more clear attack straight to the opponents life. Really strong with cards like Ethereal Armor, Spear of Heliod, and Phalanx Leader because those can all make him stronger very easily.

Boros Reckoner --> I rarely swing with this card when I'm doing playtesting because I know it is more than worth it to have him as a blocker that deals a ton of damage to the enemy while also preventing damage to myself. I only run 2 because I only have 2 on hand, but that might go up if I can find some for cheap.

Evangel of Heliod (x) --> This is a super strong card in this deck, because this deck has a lot of devotion to white. When I playtest, this is usually a turn 6 or 7 for 11 1/1s, which can be so earily made into 2/2s or 3/3s with Spear of Heliod and Phalanx Leader. Originally, I was running 4, but I feel like it isn't good enough to devote (get it?) my turn 6 to entirely, but I still feel that it has a good place in this deck.

Fabled Hero --> This is a really strong card when I can boost him easily, and most of my combat tricks are there because I can boost more than one thing or protect them (e.g. Martial Glory, or Gods Willing). With double strike, I can deal a LOT of damage with this card.

Favored Hoplite (x) --> Every aggressive deck would not hurt with a 1-drop, and this card definitely fits what this deck needs. Never the less, I would be willing to part with this card in place of a stronger card. I am still debating between this or Judge's Familiar.

Phalanx Leader --> This is the primary card of the deck, and probably my strongest card. Most of the deck is based around pumping up one (or more!) of these with combat tricks, to also pump up every other card on my board.

Coordinated Assault (x) --> This is an excellent card because it is only 1 mana and can target more than one creature with heroic at once. I can use this to target 2 [phalanx leaders in one combat to give both of them 2 +1/+1 counters and +1/+0 until end of turn, and also first strike. That is an invaluable combat.

Gods Willing (x) --> Because of the new rise of mono colored decks (devotion to blue/green/etc) this card can help so very much. On top of the scry, which helps to shape what my mid-game will look like, this card effectively either saves a creature or guarantees a clear attack. It can also be easily sideboarded into something else.

Martial Glory (x) --> This card give two creatures a heroic PROC and also +3/+0 | +0/+3 (or one PROC and +3/+3). On a card like Fabled Hero or on my Phalanx Leader this is veeeeeery helpful.

Chained to the Rocks --> This is my primary source of removal, and I feel one of the best ways to wipe the board of a Thassa, God of the Sea or a Desecration Demon. This is also the reason for my Sacred Foundry and also for the two extra Mountains in my land.

Ethereal Armor --> Not only does this PROC heroic on a creature like Phalanx Leader or Fabled Hero, but this also gives them a lot of power and toughness. It will give them +1/+1 for each enchantment I control - I run a lot for an aggro deck. This stacks with some of my removal, and also with the Spear of Heliod.

Spear of Heliod (x) --> There is nothing like +1/+1 for every creature I control, on top of improving the value of Ethereal Armor and also giving me the handy ability to destroy any big creature that comes my way.

Again, all input will be considered, and I'm very curious to see what comes my way.

Thanks for reading!
